sheltagus
Hello everyone! The amount of mods is overwhelming and I need a little guidance or I'm going to spend more time testing out mods than actually playing the game. I have a R7 240 4gb GPU and am looking for a really good texture/lighting mod to boost my FPS. I want something that has been well developed and won't take forever to troubleshoot problems. Smoke and things like that are big performance killers with this setup that I have. Shadows can be a real killer too. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Transient3292
Optimized Vanilla Textures works well and doesn't seem to make textures look terrible. It's also simple to install. Texture Optimization Project is supposed to be more extreme, but I got lots of texture pop in with that mod. I actually unpacked the BSA files of TOP and replaced the original textures, which gained 5 to 10 Fps, but looked terrible, so I installed OVT over that, which works pretty good and doesn't look terrible

sheltagus
Thanks for the replies guys. I was actually pleasantly surprised, I can run the game on high if I turn down the shadows and distance stuff. Granted I only get about 25 FPS but hell that's damn near good enough for console standards right? lol
