Astr096 Posted February 23, 2012 Share Posted February 23, 2012 If any good mod makers are reading this then take this into consideration, The world of Skyrim is full of swords, arrows, and magic; but what if Skyrim was to get a little of... Modernization? My idea is to create good models and textures of Flintlock Muskets and Pistols to include in Skyrim. Now I don't plan to stop there, I want to completely Modernize Skyrim completely. This means that guards and npc's now have guns (as well as the Dragon-born of course) and Skyrim looks like Europe in the Age of Imperialism. I will be willing to elaborate on this plan if a good mod-maker is willing to do this. Background: Skyrim is a land of warfare, the Imperial Empire is fighting the Stormcloak Rebellion while Dragons run rampant. Tamriel needs inspiration and a way to solve the problems of the warfare in the land. Strange ships from a unknown land have docked in the Imperial capital with weapons of fire and death! The Emperor, realizing how revolutionary these new weapons are, have sent them throughout his empire and to his fighting men. Word soon spread about these weapons and soon more of them were sold to the public. Now these strange ships have brought more and more of these weapons! Skyrim is changing friend! I hope someone see's this and is willing to start on it, sadly I am full of ideas but horrible at the creation kit. I must say, however, that I am a user and not a facilitator so I cannot be of any use in constructing anything of this magnitude. I do appreciate the thought though. Weapons and so on, sure that's doable, and I'm quite sure there are modders working to achieve this already. Example: but, to modernize all of skyrim would be to remake the entire map. Really too much work. Plus the medieval setting of TES is what makes it so appealing, changing that would make it a different game. If you want guns, you're better off modding fallout 3.
