CosDashit Posted February 23, 2012 Share Posted February 23, 2012 When you play for long enough you end up with a very large bank roll and basically nothing to spend your gold on once you have perfected your weapons and armor high enough. I'd like to have some more stuff to spend gold on, but to me the simplest way would be to have to pay rent to the Jarl for your home. If you can make it so a guard or the Steward waits for you outside your home once every week or so and asks for like 500 Gold or something that would be awesome. If you can't pay they maybe give you a day or so to come up with the money or they will arrest you to cover your debt. While this mod may seem useless, it adds more immersion since you can't just sit and collect ungodly amounts of Gold with no where to use it. As you become wealthier and own more homes your debt starts to rise significantly. And it would be rather easy to cover the rent if you get into smithing/enchanting ect. Adding different Rents for different towns would be nice too, such as The homes in Solitude and Markath costing a lot more than Riften or Whiterun. And you would need to pay taxes in every hold you own property. And maybe once a month but larger amount. Or you could pay when you coming to town for all past time from your last visit.
