Kythrius
Hope you enjoy the mod, post here if you have questions or comments. EDIT: Some people say my mod is great with Deadly Reflex, others claim that Deadly Reflex ruins it.
IndorilTheGreat
Which file should I DL? There's 2 with the same name, except one has "OBSE" after the name...
Kythrius
Download both. They have different sets of abilities. The non-OBSE version has the abilities in a book in a house around Leyawiin(not IN Leyawiin). Plenty of teleport abilities.

VanceXT
I just tried out this mod and it seems incredible... lots to work with and do, and I'm especially enjoying the weapon special attacks. I guess my only criticism with this mod is that it feels very technical and bloated. Having Unpack spells to acquire isn't very immersive, and after I do unpack, I feel like my character has just been overwhelmed with a megaton bomb of inventory/spellbook clutter. A system where one could pick and choose in some way (through a store, or activatable objects) what spells/abilities to add would really, really help (as well as all energy experience leveling handled through one object.) My only other observation is that the power level feels a bit over the top for low level characters, but more particularly, lets low skill-level players get away with incredibly impressive effects. I was slaughtering people with destruction spells at a skill level of 6. I don't want this to sound negative though, because overall this set of additions is jaw-dropping. :) At this phase though, I'd focus on making it feel more like an authentic part of the game world rather than a technical hack. Once that's done, this should be a top 10 download here on Nexus imho.
Kythrius
Thanks very much for the input. In the Arcane University there's an Argonian that allows you to select specific special attacks. The characters power level is supposed to increase. I'm quite sure that I mentioned this is balanced for an arcade/FPS implementation where you are normally EXPECTED to fight 2 or 3 things at once. I know the balancing isn't perfect at the moment, but I'm working on it. If there is anything that you think particularly deserves to be nerfed, post it here. Some abilities are good for low levels, others are better for higher levels.
worm82075
Wow, I am impressed, you have obviously put a lot of thought into this mod and I am glad you have. I do not like OOO for the very reasons that you stated. Instead I went with Fran's an MMM which really added back the challenge to the game that my level 30+ characters had lost. When I went to start a new character with those mods installed I found that it was too much and that I was getting killed far too often. That really blows too because the changes and additions that these mods make are really fun to play but not when you are getting slaughtered exploring the wilderness. Enter your mod and now it is possible for me to start the game with more creatures and be able to survive. I trust that you will fine tune the mod for balance and maybe even offer a few versions in the future so I am not worried. Fret not players of Oblivion, I think what we got here is another legendary modder in the making. Can't wait to see what you think of next. Kudos to you and welcome to the Nexus. BTW, should you decide to upload your files here please be aware that you may receive some bad comments from players but please trust that we the active forum members (the majority of which are modders or at least know of the intricacies of modding) will support you and that the moderators of this site will police the modding community. Oh, and thanks for your contribution to our ever growing virtual world. Jeremy aka Worm
Kythrius
What's next? read a few posts above. With OBSE v15 I made some abilities that protect you from staggering or punish anything that staggers you. Also made some abilities that punish NPCs/creatures for power attacking/attacking/casting/blocking. There's even one called Entangle that trips anything moving backward or dodging. How about Kinetic Wind Vortex? Knocks down anything attacking, and staggers anything that is blocking or moving. Tired of NPCs that block all your attacks? Forcefield Smash knocks down anything that is blocking. ------------------ In response to specific parts of your post: "I trust that you will fine tune the mod for balance and maybe even offer a few versions in the future so I am not worried. Fret not players of Oblivion, I think what we got here is another legendary modder in the making. Can't wait to see what you think of next. Kudos to you and welcome to the Nexus." I keep updating this every 1 or 2 weeks.... a "few" versions is an understatement. "Oh, and thanks for your contribution to our ever growing virtual world." You're welcome. "please be aware that you may receive some bad comments from players" It's a shame(for the BGS forums community) that they decided to flame me right before the upcoming version of my mod. Finally:A lot of people say that the AoE effects are a good counter to OOO and MMM. Mob of 10 goblins to fight? no problem. Just throw a Fire Storm at them and replenish your magicka with Dark Energy Recharge(you gain magicka for each creature in the area with zero health). This mod is not perfectly balanced yet, but progress is being made. For example, Blaze Lightning used to do 150 shock damage and Frozen Blast did 20-100(plus staggering whatever it hit) based on your destruction skill. Later on I thought Blaze Lightning was overpowered so I decreased the damage to 100. I forgot to weaken Frozen Blast, and now Frozen Blast is overpowered. So the next update will decrease Frozen Blast to 25-75 damage.
