SluggoV2
I have what will probably be a pretty simple question to answer by most of you.... I have created two bow re-textures that I would like to use in game. I want to make them stand alone as new weapons and not be a replacer. They are just simple re-texes using the original meshes/maps. So how do I go about doing this? I have extracted and renamed the original files from the archives and put into a folder tree repectively, now what do need to do? Sorry, I have tried to google this but it's been no help. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
ghosu
You need: Copy of name.nif & 1stpersonname.nifYour 3 new dds files NIF => Skyrim\data\meshes\weapons\name\...DDS => Skyrim\data\textures\weapons\name\... Open both nif files with NifSkope and update the texture path (see 3rd video in my sig)Use the creation kit to import the weapon and make it standalone (see 4th video in my sig) greetings
SluggoV2
I just watched your tuts, very well done. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to do that so that people like myself can become further educated and continue to enjoy playing/creating the games we love.
