well you may find that out by starting a new game. if the mods still don't load, its not your save file.

has nmm successfully detected your fallout 4 installation?

and verify in NMM plugin tab if the esm and esp files are all activated (check box ticked).

then there is always your windows profile appdata not being touched while reinstalling software.

go to: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Fallout4\

you should find 4 files, two of are text files:

DLCList.txt

plugins.txt

check if the two files have your mods listed.

and some thrads mention that you need to initially load fallout 4 over the mod manager instead of launching it over steam launcher or follout4.exe directly.

I think NMM has detected the game? It doesnt say it can't find it. All mods are enabled in the plugin tab. Those 2 files listed all my mods. They had aterixes at the front of each name however. I assume this is normal?

I also tried launching the game from NMM and made a new save file and still can't see any mods. God this is frustrating. I wish I never reinstalled the first time, thats what broke this.

In NMM:

1. Uninstall from all profiles

2. Install and activate

Follow this pattern for each mod.

I pretty much have done this?

only for the plugins.txt. DLCList.txt has none.

in the DLCList.txt it is simple as this

dlc1.esm
dlc2.esm
mod1.esp
mod2esp

I also tried launching the game from NMM and made a new save file and still can't see any mods.

I need that bit more specfic though. you started up fallout 4 and didn't load and startet a NEW game from scratch (and not load a previous save and saved a new file)?

i mean clean playthrough thus in your words another character. the question is are the mods back with a new char?

also before loading or starting new. when in fallout 4 main menu. you should have the mods menü - are ther the mods listed?

like this:

http://www.maverik.ch/stuff/modslist_atloadingscreen.jpg

if not i think you have somehow to fallout 4 folders on your harddrive.

there must be a file or setting pointing to a wrong path or something.

at thoes points i mostly use simething like "REVO Uninstaller" and make a clean uninstall. That tool looks up loose files and registry keys left over from the normal uninstaller and removes them too.

Dumb question. Did you install Fallout Script Extender, and are you running your game through Fallout Script Extender instead of the default launcher, Steamapp, or NMM? I ask because this looks like an issue with your launcher deactivating all mods including that bodymesh mod you are using. This... is actually extremely weird because your ini is clearly processing and allowing the loading of mods, thus your bodymesh change, but then the launcher is deactivating those same mods upon load so that they don't appear in game, thus why your character has no bodymesh. I recommend getting another copy of your Fallout 4 ini and Fallout4 Custom ini bootlegged from someone who actually has a working game. But first, de-install all of your mods. ALL OF YOUR MODS. Delete them all from your NMM load order (right click the mod select uninstall and delete). You can keep your DLCs and Fallout 4 main archives though. Now what you want to do is get a fresh 'working' copy of the two ini files that I mentioned up above and replace the ones in your games folder, REPLACE NOT KEEP BOTH!! Now, there are a lot of ways forward from here. Now, normally... you would launch the game like normal to generate the ini's, but that's not really an option for you right now. With two already pre-created ini's, download and install Fallout Script Extender, and launch your game using that. If you don't experience any crazy crap with a (new default character) and your game works perfectly... then start adding mods.

The new character could not see any mods, no.

I loaded it up and went to the mods menu, it shows all my mods and they are actived. I then loaded my old save any the only mod it said was missing was AKWCR now, but once it loaded most of it wasn't there. The only mod I could see was Sim Settlements and that had no meshes.

I will try tomorrow completely uninstalling all mods, NMM and Fallout 4 then starting from complete scratch.

I have F4SE, yes. I always launch the game through the F4SE Shortcut. I will try a complete reinstall tomorrow and see how I go from there.

Okay, so the complete removal and reinstalation of Fallout 4, NMM and all mods may have fixed it. Apon loading the game up and my old save, I still get the mod files missing message, how ever I have a different thought on why that is there. I can now see all my objects that I have placed and custom outfits etc. So I THINK everything is working now.

My guess about the missing mods menu coming up is because I have updated some mods? Is it possible to scoll that message because I can only see a few? Either way I will start playing for a bit and see if I notice anything missing. Will let you guys know if all is good.

well if the mod authors of the mods you have updated renamed their ESP Files, yes than is the case of getting the upon message.

check if the ESP files (as stated) are in the plugin list of NMM visible.

if the old save game you are trying to load had a "My Mod1.esp" and the mod update places a "My Mod2.esp" - fallout will state that "My Mod1.esp" is missing. But if "My Mod2.esp" provides the same assets as "My Mod1.esp" (with the same prid and Textures) you should have no missing objects.

Yeah that makes sense to me. Now I have discovered an issue but this may be something else. Homemaker mod is working because I can see all objects that I have already placed, but 90% of them are not in the menu anymore. I have reinstalled the mod and tried using SKE but haven't been able to fix it. Any idea about that?

but 90% of them are not in the menu anymore. I have reinstalled the mod and tried using SKE but haven't been able to fix it. Any idea about that?

from the mod page:

Load order:

The recommended load order for the mod is as follows:

Fallout4.esm

Homemaker.esm

|

Homemaker - Disablers

Homemaker - Unlocked Institute Objects

Homemaker - Streetlights Use Passive Power

Other Mods

Missing categories - If categories are missing, that means you are using a mod that is overwriting the categories added by this mod, such as SSEx or OCDecorator. If you do use a mod like this, make sure to look for any compatibility patches for them if they are offered. Ensure that the patches are loaded later then the mods that they are patching, and make sure to check to make sure that two patches don't conflict with each other either. If two mods or patches do conflict and the mod author doesn't offer a fix, then check my compatibility section for a quick rundown of how to do custom patches in FO4Edit.

And latest Homemaker should have a menu fixer in the holotape options.

or use this mod

Shows how much I can read... Using the holotape from the chem station brought it all back for me. Thanks so much for the help from all of you, even if half of it was me not reading or being lazy and skipping things.

EDIT: I can't find how to rename the post? Is there a way to put [solved] or something on the tittle.
