Day of week does not change

After a long time (over a hundred days) of in-game time has passed, I have noticed that the game has trouble changing the day of the week for me if midnight passes during regular gameplay. Waiting or sleeping past midnight seems to help with this, but not always. By this point I usually also have done all the DLC areas, which might be a factor. Regarding mods that could affect this, I have Yukichigai's patch and Mission Mojave Ultimate Edition installed. I am not sure what else to say here.

1. Use YUP or MMUE, but not both. They conflict in ways that are incompatible. (YUP is more "pure bug fixes". MMUE is only partially a bug fix patch: it's mostly arbitrary edits that are not bug fixes.) Note however that removing a plugin that is included in a save game can break things.

 

2. The "timescale" setting in the game affects how time passes, and the resulting game variables tracking it. The game is based upon a timescale of "30:1" (that is: 30 game minutes to 1 real minute). Bear this in mind while looking over the "GECK: Special Variables" page.

 

3. Being active as midnight occurs has always been tricky for the game engine to cope with due to the way it tracks time. You might find the recent thread "The GameDaysPassed variable is messed up, looking for a way to fix it" of some interest, though it doesn't have a solution as yet.

 

None of this solves your problem, unless it happens to be point #1. But it may help you understand what is "out of whack". More pertinently, why do you believe this makes any real difference (unless you are playing "hard core" mode)?

 

Otherwise, we need the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article to provide more specific advice.

Yeah, I thought YUP and MMUE at the same time might be trouble. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the bluish water MMUE adds, so out it goes!

 

I think this is related to the GameDaysPassed bug you linked based on the similarities, so thank you for bringing that to my attention!
