HueDCypher
I have many mods that Mod Organizer says there is an update for. However, when I go to the Nexus, even if it shows an update, the update is not in the Files section of the mod page. Any idea why? WastelandAssassin
if memory serves , what MO shows you is the version of the mod you have , and the latest version on the mod pageso you should check that you truly have the latest version of the mods installed , and that the version displayed is indeed the version you have (you may need to manually edit it) it could also just be that the latest version of the mod is being uploaded , but I'm not sure the version number would update while the update is being uploadedso not sure about that hope this helps , but if not , it would help if you could post a picture showing the problem , and link to the mod in question (and write which version of the mod you have)
M48A5
If someone adds an image to the user image section, the date the image was uploaded will show as the date the mod was updated.
HueDCypher
Okay. Let me clarify. There are mods on the nexus, such as Frostfall, that show the date of the last update on the main mod page. But when you go into the "Files" section of the mod, the most recent posted update does not correspond to that listed on the main page. Frostfall's main page shows the last update to be 17 Mar 2017. The files page shows Frostfall 3.4.1 as the latest update as of 22 December 2016. That make more sense?
WastelandAssassin
actually , it doesif you go to a mod page , you should see several actions (just under the endorsement counter)the first of these is Logsif you click on it , it will show you the latest updates to the mod's page the thing about the "Last update" time , is that it isn't actually just about file updatesit includes pictures added , edits to the descriptions and various others check it out on one mod , it should give you some information hope this helps :)
HueDCypher
Okay. Look at the mod, WSCO-Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul. It shows that the latest version is 2.0. When you go the "Files" section, the latest version listed is V1. Where is V2? I have found many mods like this. one version is shown on the main mod page and not on the files page. I am totally lost as to why this is. Do I need to be a Premium Nexus Member to get all the files? I doubt it, but...
WastelandAssassin
from what it seems , you can edit the latest version written in the mod , as well as individually say the version of each file uploadedso I guess this is some oversight from the creator of the mod I don't think anything on Nexus is locked behind premium membership , least of all mods , so it's not that the thing is , it could just be something the mod author edited , rather than a bug in the system or missing files or such
HueDCypher
Okay. But Mod Manager still says there is a newer version of WSCO-Windsong Skyrim Character Overhaul. And it says it is the version listed on the mods main page but that version is not in the Files page and downloading it from the mod main page does not get you the version Mod Organizer and the main page both say exist. I'm still confused. I would not even bother with this, except this is not the only mod that has a discrepancy. WastelandAssassin
It's due to the fact that the mod page states that the latest version is 2.0 , while all files are listed under version 1.0just something the author did , not anything really important It's confusing , because you can control a mod's latest version number , and each file's version individually , which could lead to such casesbut again , it's not really important the best thing you can do is follow the mods you use , and check your tracked list on a regular basis , just to check for important updatesIt's better to do this yourself , rather than trusting the number displayed in your mod manager , which as you see , can be missleading hope this clears it up , and alleviates your worries
