Miniature generators

I'm looking for a mod which adds small, but still somewhat powerful generators, but in a non-cheaty way.

So, not just a conduit crafted basically for free which generates 100000 power.

 

Settlement Objects Expanded has something like that, but I don't want to install such a large mod just for the generators. My workshop menu takes several seconds to start already.

 

They don't even have to be switch-sized. I'd take a table or shelf-sized generator, too, if it produces >= 50 power.

that is yet another awesome idea, thanks for sharing!

 

indeed, there's a few objects which add lower power amounts,

and 'any power anywhere'/'power grid overhaul'.

 

you can amend those in the CK etc, to only yield 10 or 20 power.

I fully recommend Massigest's extra switches and ideas,

as well as ploppable vault-tec generator etc.

 

 

 

any power any where is easiest for interior-exterior power switching.

say you build a basement or vault with "basement living' or any door to any where + new lands etc,

that makes life so simple to keep it connected.

 

there's then the FONV style 'solar panel' - it only gets power during certain parts of the day cycle;

it generates up to a maximum of 8 near mid day, and then you need a battery or other framework for night.

you'll need to 'surge'/'overload' your network to get the most out of them.

v3 will also check by lighting if it's in 'sunlight' or not. at present, it only goes by time.

 

rad-lightning rod.

only captures power during rad-storms. this can generate ~5000 power,

but the batteries (hidden container) slowly decays, counting to 0 per time step interval after.

v3 will also include 'power ponds' - the lightning powers the pond, causing rad-damage or electrical when in contact;

this will also add a non-linear/step-decay defense value...

it will also be hopefully compatible with plasma and rad-forcefields and traps.

I'm looking forward to this, it's an awesome mod project.

 

Glowing-One Rad-power generator;

provides power based on the captured enemy in the container. finally stockades and the slave-cages come in handy

a regular ghoul provides ~3 power for 3 days before it's used up.

a glowing one might provide constant power of 10 forever.

a legendary glowing one provides even more...

 

the Tesla-coil/Van de Graaf generator is also freakin' awesome.

that generates a 'variable' range of power, say 0-20 power.

perfect as an intermittent powersource for 'flickering lights'.

XORIFF the interval switch, and you can get some neat patterns out of the lights.

and requires power cells to be placed in it's container.

1 fusion core lasts for 1 real-world hour, etc.

it is also potentially harmful to bystanders in a radius around it.

it's really awesome, but I fear it's presently unlisted.

 

lastly, the 'wind turbine'.

it generates more power during radstorms or rainy weather,

and virtually 0 during calm weather.
