OminousVoice
I've bitten the bullet and had a crack at doing some mesh editing. I followed the blender import/export tutorial on Nexus and worked on a helmet mesh. The problem I'm having is the mesh appears distorted in game, like it's melted. It doesn't show up at all in the CK preview. However in Nifskope it loads up fine. Any ideas what the problem could be?
ReddMan
To start troubleshooting:<1> Load the mesh into blender.<2> Go to vertex edit mode and select all of the vertexes<3> Split the view and set the second view to UVMap view (select the little button that looks like # to change from 3d view to the UVMap view).<4> In the second view load the texture of the mesh.<5> Set the first view to the Textured mode and if the texture looks correct then you've missing a step in the import/export process.<6> Otherwise if the texture looks 'Melted' in blender then the UVMap is fubared. Looking at where the vertexes are in the second view should give you a good idea where they are messed up.
OminousVoice
I'll have a look at it in blender. Do I import it as a .nif or an .obj? Here's what I'm getting in game:http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u7/OminousVoice/MeltyHead.jpg
ghosu
Can check the nif if you upload it.
OminousVoice
Ok, it's sorted. Turns out I was using the wrong version of Nifskope, so certain properties weren't available. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out actually.
