what about people? i hear that they are quite tasty...

and mountain lions.

and bears.

and tigers.

you'll have to trust me on the fact that gophers are quite nasty unless cooked perfectly.

You missed cat and dog, except for chihuahua which I imagine would be similar to rat but with less meat. I was surprised at how many of these I have eaten. You have Squirrel twice, which is Ok by me as I like Squirrel. Bon apitite

I can give personal opinion of some I've had.

Alligator: Has a bit of a "muddy" taste, reminded me of bullhead...a type of catfish.

Antelope : Not as "gamey" as deer. I like it.

Bison/American buffalo: Good stuff. They sell bison burgers and steaks in some stores.

Camel: Not as stringy as horse.

Cat: sweeter than dog meat.

Chipmunk: Much akin to squirrel

Deer: Not my favorite, but many like it

Dog: Make sure they're not infected with rabies.

Dolphin: you never read David Brin's "Startide Rising", did you. Never ate it.

Elk: real gamey Never tried seconds.

Gerbil: Have to ask my cat.....he's says they're great.

Goat: Best barbequed.

Goose: Good stuff, a bit greasy compared to chicken

Grouse: My favorite of game birds, better than pheasant.

Hamster: My cat says to be sure to get them before they get in the exercise wheel since that toughens the leg meat a bit.

Horse: Stringy, but better than donkey.

Moose: Moose, moose, I like a moose.

Quail : Good, but the breast is really the only meat on it.

Rabbit: In a gravy like a Swiss steak is the way to go.

Squirrel: Pretty much like rabbit, but remember it's cousin to a rat.

The order for better taste: Herbivore, omnivore, carnivore, salad.

Just have to catch the damn rabbit in my backyard...then the squirrel...then the chipmunk......

I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to find Panda meat (Black Market, anyone?)

Congratulations. You have successfully given PETA a heart attack... :P

Venison is good though... While I've never had gopher before, I have smoked one out of a hole... :ermm:

Several of the animals on this list are highly endangered by the way, and eating one would be a serious offence... just FYI. ;)

Oh yeah, (American) Bison is good too. So is Aligator. It's a bit spicy though... In a piece of jerky though! ;D

If you really want to know I will tell you as I have actually eaten most of those and some that are not on you list as well.

All are good, trust me......when you are hungry, and I don't mean from missing a meal or two I am talking days without food, then you know hunger......when the body starts to consume itself and you smell the smell of freshly baked bread and don't know where it is coming from.

That is hunger, trust me you will eat anything to survive....the bad thing is that you actually enjoy it.

Really what do you think is in that mystery meat at school?
