jdkbph
So I wondering what the consensus is now that the modders have made the Official Hi Res DLC usable. Assuming I have the PC horsepower to run any of them without issue, which provides the better visual experience... the official Hi Res Pack DLC or one of the Hi Res mods (eg, Skyrim HD)? Any suggestions or advice welcome. Thanks JD
Rennn
The Skyrim HD DLC will preserve the style of Skyrim, but HD textures are much better simply from an individual quality standpoint.Personally, I prefer style so I'd go with Bethesda's HD DLC, but most people prefer HD 2K. Lunytic
I used the HD2k pack prior to the DLC release and then switched. For me it was the 'halo' around objects that isn't there in the DLC that made me switch. HD2k is very good, but I like the DLC a little bit more (though I then use some other specific HD packs rather than HD2k's complete overhaul on top of the DLC to get the best of both) :P
PsYchotic666Joker
Mods plain and simple, do bethesda sucks at making true HD and everything. i should also mention there are other texture packs out there besides 2k hd. the water, ice, sky, face, body, perk menu, tons others. BaconCat
Hey, with the magic of ini tweaks, you get the best of both worlds! Look up on how to add the bsa's to your ini and then disable the esp's, then install as many HD mods as you want. Anything that doesn't get replaced by mods will be the Bethesda HD stuff!
