Michlo
Wow, I had only yesterday found her actual site and sent a private thank you message. The people hurling these hurtful slights are really just trying to deal with or cover up their own misery. Hopefully she will see through that and see these people for what they are. Cheers Edit: Well of course I should have continued through all sixteen pages before I posted. heh. I'm glad she has the spirit she does and that it has ended well. I still can't seem to find the Goth Shop, however (except for on the Hive and everyone beats me to the punch on her download limit), heh. I'll keep looking though as I definitely want to add that to my other Slof mods. Cheers.
Varus Torvyn
This is a nice idea, a tribute to AlienSlof. It is sad to see her mods gone. I went and read some of the older threads where Giskard had been flamed. I wished at that point I could have borrowed Buddah's Insta-Ban weapon. I appreciated his mods a lot, so I decided to send him a donation. And I'm thinking about sending him another one as well. I never had a chance to try AlienSlof's work. I was working on installing a glitch-free list of large quest-mods, then I figured I would try the Apachii Store & AlienSlof's work when the quest part was done. Guess now I'm sol. Hope you'll come back one fine day. There will be a huge celebration if you do. I consider myself quite fortunate to be able to email great modders such as Giskard & Sulteric. If I happen to discover any glitches on a new version, I'll make screenshots and email them with all the info they need. I do beta-testing for a utility developer located in Romania, and an anti-malware company in England. I sure wouldn't mind being asked to beta-test for some of our mod authors. I surely hope AlienSlof will look kindly upon us, and come back. Hopefully Dark0ne will kill the ratings & comments portion to keep the trolls at bay. So wipe away those tears and get searching.

Sangel2525
Wha, what?! I'm new here so I'm kind of feeling things out, but upon reading a bit of this thread (it's a bit long so I skimmed through a great portion) I cannot help but say what I truly feel without sugar coating anything. I've always been in the background in the Morrowind/Oblivion modding community, never really adding much of anything. Only recently have I begun to speak... Now... First off, AlienSlof is amazing! I wasn't even aware that these morons, yes morons demoralized her to the point that she took everything off sites like this. I've always loved her work! But here's my thoughts... Morrowind was overall much more liberal in terms of the modding community due to the fact Betheseda initially made it for the PC and more geared towards seasoned gamers. Oblivion on the other hand was much more geared towards younger gamers, or the X-box 360 generation. Now I am not generalizing or casting judgment down on all younger gamers, but by in large they tend to be young adolescent males that are a tad sexually insecure to say the least. Not all, but a lot! Some of Slof's mods are geared towards exploring male nudity and such. Personally I can I really appreciate this! Look at my avatar, Count Caine from Kaori Yuki's graphic novels. Kaori Yuki is known to write, and illustrate stuff that borders on what the overall status quo would consider touchy issues. I hate to outright say this but yes Yaoi undertones are striking in a lot of her works. I've been a fan of Kaori Yuki's for a loooong time. In that I always admired and liked what AlienSlof was doing aesthetically in TES games. I saw what she was doing, and it really put a smile on my face to see someone 'representing' *does a mock gansta sign* female gamers with my mindset, and maybe some male gamers as well, more power to them! Then lo and behold the X-Box 360 bandwagon of sexually insecure adolescent males, and quite possibly adult males comes along and bashes her. Sure, sure! It's all great when you have gianormous boobies on female characters, or get to cut heads off with Deadly Reflex! No offense there. But God help you if you show off a man's bits! Then you're in trouble, and morally wrong! PAH! This is not to say I have anything against any body mods, or Deadly Reflex. I use Deadly Reflex and love it! I'm just saying it's a bit hypocritical to bash a woman for showing off a mans body, then happily go and chop someone's head off with your female character with a cup size that is non-existent in the real world! Something about that makes me seethe! That double standard there... God forbid if AlienSlof was male, but it seems most of these idiots bashing her assume such anyway, not that it really matters. What she makes is "GAY" right? Idiots... This truly sickens me. I'm tired of people laying down the morality card in this culture, then going ahead and contradicting themselves. But it's pervasive in this culture and the status quo pushes for such foolishness to thrive. It's just a shame... Bottom line if you don't like it walk away! No one is forcing you to do anything, so what's the fuss about? Moral outrage? Lemme say something about moral outrage! I'm morally outraged such foolishness still exists! Also highly disturbed at the same exact time! This just really, really bugs me. So let me finish by saying AlienSlof I understand your actions. I respect you a great deal even if you do not know me at all. Keep doing what you're doing, and don't let self serving, self righteous, moralistic, <insert expletive>, stifle you. I do have a couple of your mods running, which I love. I'll be sure to bookmark your site as I just recently became aware of this upon seeing it in this forum. Oh yeah and Kudos! :) Disclaimer: I apologize if I offended anyone unless you were the exact type of person I was talking about. Then of course yes those are my personal feelings about you. But I am not generalizing I'm just calling it how I see it. Lurking around forums and such, this is a trend I've seen especially with Oblivion. I respect and understand individuality. Individuality is a very important part of my life, and I am well aware not 'everyone' is 'one' way or another. I'm not trying to cause an uproar or a debate. I'm merely speaking my mind, which upon hearing such a talented modder was bashed to this point I'm sorry I could not resist.
HouseAtlantic
I'm happy for her getting that position also  and I'm glad she likes being a moderatorbut lets leave the flaming up to the flamers. After all, if you want my opinion on it, it's not their fault, they just shouldn't put it out there for people who might not agree with their negative outlook on such work. 99% of the time those people drop their opinions and do not bother to acknowledge her hard work or even test the mod before flaming it, no one can say her work is poorly put together, it could take a lifetime for someone to do what she's done and I'm glad she still releases her work here and on her own page
Sangel2525
but lets leave the flaming up to the flamers. err yeah take the high road, turn the other cheek and all that. Sorry if I came off as a little crass but I just needed to let that out. This was kind of breaking news to me, even if it occurred a month ago. I just have issues with that kind of lot myself. I mean it's not just from browsing Oblivion oriented boards and such. My stint in playing World of Warcrack also left it's scars. o_O *coughtheirparentsshouldhitthemmorecough* *ahem* you're hearing things! I'm all about high road! :D *whistles innocently*
HouseAtlantic
I just think, of all the great things that could be said about Slof's work, the instances of it being ridiculed by teenagers should be way last and you seem to bring it up immediately. we all have strong dislikes to people trashing something we appreciate, but at the same time you said it yourself, they're kidsI wasn't happy with the direction that the thread may have gone with that, you cannot fight fire with fire and not give those people what they want, for the most part they will never contribute anything more and it's best not to acknowledge that lack of consideration
