stebo104
Ok I just got Dragon Age Origins, and wondering what are some of the "must have" mods. Must have mods are ones for Skyrim like SKSE, SkyUI, FNIS, a Skeleton mod, Race Menu.
Thandal
First bit of advice; play without any mods at all the first time through. Or only with the bug fix ones; Qwinn's, GasTank's, or both. Then you'll have a much better idea of which mods you'd like to use. If you like DAO , you'll want to playthrough multiple times (as in "dozens"!) Yes, there are bugs and annoyances that mods can correct. And yes and there are awesome new things that mods can do. But the vanilla game is perfectly playable without those mods. Honestly, unless you've played clean you'll have no clue what mods can/are doing for you! (NOTE: Qwinn's Fix Pack deals with plot and dialogue bugs. GT's deals with bugs in gameplay and combat mechanics, and includes some "tweaks and cheats" as well. Those are optional within the mod. Also, Qwinn is about to release version 3 of his Fix Pack. It's enormous! Almost 800 fixes, large and small. Due out in a week-or-so, and worth waiting for!) That said, see this topic: Good Mods It's a little dated now, but still valid. With the exception of Qwinn's pending Fix Pack there haven't been very many new mods in years for anything other than cosmetic changes and additional "items". Second bit of advice; see this wiki article: Using Dragon Age Mods for Dummies. This is not TES. Modding DAO is a very different exercise for both the author and the player. Read and heed ALL of the author's instructions, both in the Description and (if there is one) in the ReadMe. Enjoy.
