Morghean Posted May 10, 2008 Share Posted May 10, 2008 Hi!Somehow I ran into this problem, when I made up my mind to continue some of my moddings. The DoorMarker (or the TESC-Set) isn't working properly at all.I mean, there is a referendum in the object window, but the counter which shows how many times it's been used shows zero (very odd.. use info on the object, tells quite a list).I tryed to pick and drop into the render window, but it's not showing. Same with the cell window. Another oddly thing is, that I opened just the master file and opened some interior cells, but the cell window isn't showing that there is a DoorMarker in the cell (of course, the render window shows it).When I trying to click on the existing DoorMarkers (whichs isn't exist by the cell/object window) in the render window, I can't get their properties, just the redirection to where they sends the character.I have reinstalled Oblivion/TESC-set from zero twice, but the problem occured every time.Useing v1.2.404 TESC-set with v1.2.0416 Oblivion DVD-version, no additional mods installed.Didn't edited the ini-files in the documents folder. Sometimes if you are too close to the door, the marker appears on the other side or inside the wall and must be moved to your side of the door. The only thing works is to redirect the render window to the door which leads to the marked place.This is a known bug with the 1.2 version of the constructionset. I believe the only solution is to make the doors no longer teleporting (to remove the markers), then delete the doors. Then make new doors, link them, and adjust the position of the markers (using the mouse and "x", "y", "z" keys on the keyboard to position) before you do anything else. Once you double click on the door markers, they can become frozen and no longer allow any movement. Trying to place door makers manually (from within the statics menu on the side) is not how you setup doors. Please check back to the wiki to learn how to link doors together. First of all, I'm not trying to create a new doormaker in the list, I trying to create in the cell! Like how all the tutorials say how to and it's not working! Can you please tell me, how to create that new marker if I can't create one at all?! That's my problem, not that I can't make it work in the world. It's just physically impossible to drag and drop a doormarker from the object window to the render window.. and again, the doormarker isn't listed in the cell window, where every object in the cell is listed (only exception is the doormarker). and again take2, that not just my mod is screwed up, but the whole program, because with only the original master file loaded, the problem is still there!for god sake, try to understand it please(if there's any hungarian out there, I could write it in hungarian too, if that helps understanding my problem at all) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whatever tutorial you have been following, you've either been following it wrong, or the tutorial is wrong. There is no drag and drop of door markers. I would assume that you are confusing things with xmarkerheading, which can be dropped into the render window is an entirely different thing. I believe even the CS for morrowind had it setup like this. If you did, it was either the result of some sort of odd fluke, or a faulty memory. Unless you are talking about just being able to move a doormarker which was already in existance (due to two doors being linked) in which case the reason why you can no longer move them is due to a 1.2 bug (as mentioned).
