Game Crash at or Near Imperial Pale Camp

i turned of tai and tcai and it still crashed any suggestions

you have to disable the ref id for that dragon mount, Sea Shore Foothills, near the Pale Imperial camp.

I am having the same problem. I've already disabled AI and Combat AI but the problema still persists. Any solutions

That was it! I've been trying to solve this issue for the past few days and you've solved it! I also used to have Deadly Dragons, and it was indeed the burial mound. Toggling tai and tcai allowed me to approach further, but didn't totally solve my issues. It was only when I disabled the mound that I was able to fully go near the camp without a CTD.

Same problem with me.

I solved it by entering the command âcoc MilitaryCampPaleImperialâ.

COC = Center-on-Cell which basically teleports you to the cell location. Worked for me hopefully itâs helpful for someone else!

By turning off AI and combat AI with console commands "tai" and "tcai" I have finally been able to reach the camp. Turning them on at the camp crashes the game instantly. This is most puzzling indeed!

 

edit. there still seems to be something near the main two tents that causes game to crash if I get too close.

 

Does anyone know how to interact with Legate Rikke with the AI turned off? I can choose the reporting for duty dialogue but with the AI off absolutely nothing happens. If I move Rikke to a safe distance where I can turn the AI back on she has no dialogue options for advancing the civil war questline.

Now I can reach the camp, and continue the quest.

First I discover the camp then save immediately,

then turn on AI and combat AI with console commands "tai" and "tcai", which will jump to the desktop.

Finally start the game again and talk to Legate Rikke.

10 years later and I can confirm disabling the AI and reloading fixed this. Dragon spawned upon reload and the game is fine now. Weird bug.
