Deleted41572250User
I had Fallout 3 installed with FOMM and a bunch of mods. I uninstalled all that some time ago. Now I am trying to install Fallout New Vegas and reinstall FOMM and a bunch of mods. Unfortunately the GEMM folder still exists with the FOMM.exe application inside, and nothing else. I cannot delete that folder, no matter what I try, and if I install FOMM it will not overwrite the FOMM.exe when installing. If I go into the file and delete FOMM.exe, it just reappears when I go back into the folder. The new install does not work. I have tried installing FOMM with FNV installed and uninstalled. No difference. Attached are some screenshots of what I have. Anyone have any ideas? Edited July 25, 2017 by Guest
Rabbit1251
Did you right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"? Have you tried shutting down your machine and restarting it? You could also try running CCleaner to erase orphan files left behind from the uninstallation. The Rabbit

Deleted41572250User
So I ran the CCleaner's reg cleaner. I had to run it 5 or six times to remove all the FOMM and fallout 3 registry keys. Even after I ran in to the time, I could not delete the GEMM folder. When I opened it, it had a completely installed copy of FOMM. It had somehow reinstalled itself. I uninstalled FOMM again unsing the included uninstall application (long since deleted), and tried again to delete. No joy. Ran CCleaner reg cleaner again and restarted. Then I was able to delete. Weird.
