Mestertols
Hey guys! Have really been enjoying skyrim special edition modded version. Been using loot and nexus mod manager. I stumpled upon the skyrim 2017 textures, and they look amazing, but you can only install them manually. I am not sure how to do it, and i can't find a guide showing it. Can someone help me out. Also will 16 GB ram and GTX 970 be sufficient enough for the textures?
nightscrawl
All of those packs have the "download with manager" button, so I'm not sure why you think you have to install them manually. To answer your question, to install a mod manually, you first download the file to your computer. In NMM, you click the green + on the left and navigate to the file on your hard drive; it will go into the "unassigned" category. To enable the mod, hit the green check mark and it will install. After that, if you want, you can drag it into whatever category you prefer (if you're using categories). With these textures, it's not so much the card you have, it's how much VRAM you have. These are 4k textures, so you'll want at least 4GB of VRAM. If you don't have that much, VRAM will be chewed up very quickly and give you stability problems. You can do a lot more with this computer than just some 4k texture download. The button is called "Mod Manager Download". I use Nexus Mod Manager. But I heard people keep recommending me to use MO2, Mod Organizer 2. They are both available to download on this site. For the love of god and yourself, use a mod manager, don't try to download manually yourself. If you have to ask this question on how to install a texture mod, chances are you are not yet capable to sufficiently to do things manually. Not an insult, just trying to save you some headaches. Moksha8088
cough cough. What NMM download button https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2347?tab=files The one marked Download with Manager. Once downloaded you need to highlight it within NMM and click Install. Gopher has several excellent Youtube videos on how to download and install mods with NMM, MO2, and Vortex mod managers.
