ashamefuldog
Am I the only one who vastly prefers the .357's round-by-round reload to the "I have a Bag of Holding filled with speedloaders!" reload the other revolvers use? I'm just now starting to learn FNVEdit so Nifskope is probably outta my league, but I'd love to see edits of the Hunting Revolver, Ranger Sequoia, and/or 44 Magnum that are built to use the 357's reload animation. madmongo
The reload animation is defined in the GECK, not in the weapon's nif. Open up the weapon's form and click on the Art and Sound tab. Down near the bottom you'll see an entry called Reload Anim. The 357 uses ReloadX. You can change the others to use that animation if you'd like. devinpatterson
The reload animation is defined in the GECK, not in the weapon's nif. The ammo are. True, but you can copy and paste over the niTriStrips blocks (and their material, texture etc). You'd probably need to be aware of some other stuff as well like the visController, plus I don't know if the shells have a transform controller perfectly synced to the character animation that is baked into the nif or if they are simply rigged and "following" the character animations skeleton. If your *genuinely* interested (because this is probably at or beyond the limit of my understanding of weapon nifs and is definitely going to eat up a lot of time) I could look at modifying one of the pistols (or gather more info on why I wouldn't be able to) you mention above. If so do you have a performance between the three you mention above?
