Why you can't trust Arthur Maxson (spoiler warning)

I thought it was interesting that Maxson quite literally turned the East Coast Brotherhood into Eden's Enclave. They now have nearly the same level of tech, the same disregard for 'ordinary' citizens (maybe even more), and are fanatically intent on wiping out all non-human life, without any real thorough justification, just like Eden's Enclave. That end goal, by the way, was never a part of the original Brotherhood's mission. Even in Fallout 1 the mission was to stop the Master, not specifically to wipe out every Super Mutant they could find. In 3 they take potshots at ghouls outside of Underworld, but there is no call for eradication. Maxson seems to have turn the idea of protecting the human race into a fervor for annihilating anything else sapient.
