DudeitzChronic
I'm making a city, and I put it in an outside cell so that you can see night and day. The problem I'm having is that in game, When I'm looking from one end of the city to another, I can't see a few houses and the wall that I have surrounding the city in the back. Any ideas on how to fix this, or is the only solution to make the city smaller?

mitzibishi
dunno, made a dungeon myself and on the outside world all you can see is the door floating, move around it awhile and the rest of the entrance may appear. also when exiting out of dungeon into skyrim all the LODs are gone and some of the ground is transparent, all i did was place an entrance and link it to the dungeon door, dunno if CK is bugged but i followed the Bethesda tutorial to the letter feels like ive wasted my time Edited February 27, 2012 by mitzibishi
flobalob
There is an issue with large objects not appearing selecting "Is Fill LOD" on the reference sometomes corrects this. Thats the easy Q answered. As far as seeing objects a long way off, that is dependant on the Object view distance under options in the game. But is also limited by how many exterior cells are loaded. The area that is loaded is determined by the .ini setting uGridsToLoad which is 5 by default, as a result a 5x5 grid of exterior cells is loaded (about 1500 feet square). Be very careful before changing this as it has a MAJOR impact on performance and once increased is very hard to reduce again. The game engine cannot draw objects outside of the currently loaded area UNLESS it has LOD constructed for it and I don't know of anybody that ever re-created the LOD outside of Bethesda, who have stated in the past that it takes about a WEEK of continuous procesing on a high end PC to create the LOD for the Capitol Wasteland in FO3. So don't expect panoramic views like those of Whiterun from a distance.
bludgeon
There is an issue with large objects not appearing selecting "Is Fill LOD" on the reference sometomes corrects this. Thats the easy Q answered. I had an issue where a farmhouse was not appearing ingame even though it was there in the kit. Selecting "Is full LOD" on the 3D data tab of the objects reference screen fixed it, so i can confirm this works. Well it did in this case! Cheers flobalob, you saved me a lot of heartache :-)
