Mod Help

Hello

I am interested In a mod called, "Ferelden Models", but It seems that It requires a ton of other mods. From what I read so far In the comments, that most of the mods are not compatible with each other.

I'm only interested In a cretin morph or rather just the hair & beard. The one I want Is Hadrain, It's the 4th/last picture on the first roll.

Is there anyway to get, that look?. I could careless about how fancy the face Is.

I'm also interested In, a few tattoo mods, but they require toolset program to use. I am not familiar with this program. I know there are tutorials out there, but I'm not sure If they are that simple.

Out of curiosity, are there any mods out there that change how "Ears" look?.

Thanks In Advance

Jerosai

PS: I tried playing vanilla game, but can't. Don't get me wrong vanilla game Is awesome and I've played It years ago, but now I want mods, ETC.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I had a look and according to the readme, the Hadrian mop only uses 5 mods.

Pineappletree s Vibrant Colors

http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/153/?

Neat Hair

http://nerdykani.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/dao-misc-stuff-part-2.html

Lovely Tints

http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/3969/?

So download those 3. With the Lovely Tints, also download the updated Chargenmorph 1-02

From the Ferelden Models download page, get these 3.

Presets. frvfzfaer-3295.rar (this contains the mop file)

Face and Eye Textures. Texture pack by fmorgana

FM File

You will also want Chargenmorph Compiler.

http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/971/?

Now, from frvfzaer-3295.rar extract the hm_hadrian.mop file to your C:\Users\Username\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

And for now I would just extract the chargenmorphcfg.xml file to your desktop.

Reason being if you merge this with your other chargenmorphcfg.xml files, you will get a lot of mops in the character generation screen that will have parts missing, from uninstalled mods.

Extract the Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors 1_31 folder to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

From 19.11.12.7z, extract the KH folder to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

From the BarnziTints-3969-1-02.rar, extract the Barnzi Tints folder to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

Then extract the updated chargenmorphcfg.xml file from Chargenmorph 1-02-3969.rar to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override\BarnziTints folder. (overwriting the one that's there.)

From the Face and Eye Textures-3295.rar, extract the Face and Eye textures folder to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

From rffafff-3295.rar, extract the FM.erf file to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder.

Now extract the DA_CharGenMorph_Compiler_v123-971-1-2-3.rar to it's own folder (NOT your override folder)

Run the .exe and make sure it has found the correct path, then run it again and choose "Compile conflicting chargenmorphcfg.xml files into a singular XML file / Remove bad references"

Now go to the chargenmorphcfg.xml file on your desktop that you extracted from frvfzfaer-3295.rar

and open it with Notepad

Under the section <human_male> highlight and select copy on the line <resource name="HM_hadrian.mop"/>

Now go to your ...Dragon Age\packages\core\override folder. and open the chargenmorphcfg.xml file there and paste that line under the other human male .mop files that are there, and save the change.

Now start a New game and the hadrian preset should be the last human male.

As to using the toolset, compared to installing this mop, it's a piece of piss.

Seconding that if downloading and installing a couple of mods and adding assets to the chargen XML is too much like work, anything involving the toolset (including just installing it) will seem like a trip through the fiery depths of Hell.

The reason that mods that add tattoos (rather than replacing vanilla tats) is that the game is hard coded to only recognise x number of slider notches for tattoos... so since the CC options aren't expandable, the toolset is necessary.

Re ears -the human ears? No, there's nothing that changes their appearance. There is a mod that edits the vanilla elf morph mesh to have more prominent, elongated ears, though.
