YanL
Hello. I'm trying to do it by photoshop, but I'm taking a beating. If I do not select every pixel right, this ends up happening. http://i.imgur.com/0gzg2wC.png I tried to look at some tutorials by google, but all I saw are too complicated for complicated things. I just want to change the color of some things and that's it. Also, don´t find one in my native language. It would also be nice if there was a way to copy the color of that hat into the jacket. Thanks.
madmongo
Blender cannot edit dds files. You can use GIMP or Paint.Net. Both are free to download. GIMP will require a dds add-on. I believe dds capability comes built-in with the latest version of Paint.Net. Of the two, I personally think Paint.Net is the easier to use. GIMP and Photoshop are more powerful but are more difficult to use. If I were doing it, I personally would use Paint.Net and the lasso tool to select the part of the jacket that I wanted to recolor, and then I would adjust the hue, color, and saturation until it matched the hat. Since the hat looks black (at least on my screen) this is probably a matter of dropping the saturation until that part of the texture is just black and white, then adjusting the lightness/darkness to get the shade right.
