tdr1701
So I am using the Sunny Companion mod and decided to change her hair and eyes, not a fan of the bun.So today I decided to give it a try I first changes Cass giving her longer hair changing eye color and age (mad her a little younger.I then changed Sunny made her a little older changed her eyes and hair just as I did with Cass.Saved both files as cassupdate and sunnyupdate loaded the game and it worked fine both girls hair and eyes changed as I had changed them. Now comes the odd part Cass went and set on the couch (I also have Willow so in Bungalow) Sunny was leaning against the wall.I turned around and Sunny was gone, I checked the pip and she was outside I went and talked to her everything seemed OK except she will not follow or wait. She just walks away I waited awhile and she was down the road almost as if she was walking back to Goodsprings.I did not wait I ran and talked to her again and told her to follow she says OK and turns and walks away same happens when I tell her to stay.I was tempted to leave the game for awhile and see where she goes but kind of irrelevant as she is supposed to be a companion. The Cass update seems fine she waits or follows and I find no issues with her at all what could it be, my thought is a conflict with the SunnyCompanion file as Sunny was not meant to be a companion as Cass was.I more thing I loaded FalloutNV.esm and edited that only same result, I loaded FalloutNV.esm and SunnyCompanion.esp same result, I loaded SunnyCompanion.esp same result. Any thought do you think I figuered this out already and any idea how to solve. Thanks in Advance.
madmongo
Did you change the original Sunny from FNV or did you change the modified Sunny from the mod? If you changed the original Sunny, what probably happened is that the mod adds AI packages for her to run as a companion, and your modified Sunny is overwriting those with the standard FNV packages for Sunny in your modified version. I suspect that if you leave her alone and see where she goes, she'll go back to where she goes in the vanilla game, which IIRC is either the Prospector Saloon in Goodsprings or the house in Goodsprings where she lives (depending on what time of day it is). You should never edit Fallout NV.esm. I personally modified her appearance by modifying the Sunny companion mod, and that worked fine. I think the only thing I changed was her hair. I didn't like the bun either.
tdr1701
I amsure I tried both loading the FalloutNV with SunnyCompanion and just the SunnyCompanion alone with same results I saved the file as sunnyupdate and did not overwrite the original.I read somewhere this was how to do it I was afraid to over wright the orig I think I did this once before and Willow completely disappeared I reloaded the orig and left her alone.I will try it again to make sure. tdr1701
Did you change the original Sunny from FNV or did you change the modified Sunny from the mod? I didn't like the bun either.OK so I have it OK now this time I loaded just the SunnyCompanion.esp (copied and saved to another folder first) made my changes and now everything seems fine. In this case I did over wright the original file when saving but it works she is not walking off now. So it seems as thought with her it was a conflict with the original file. Unlike Cass which is a seperate .esp file Sunny does not work this way at least not when using the companion file.I also noticed that when you load the SunnyCompanion.esp file alone if you go back and click open again in GECK you will see it auto checks the FalloutNV file along with it.But thanks for responding you definitely led me in the right direction. Here she is now. Edited August 15, 2017 by tdr1701
