EverChosen97
I'm having trouble starting and at the same time finishing the DLC's. So the Cutscenes work like a slideshow as you know, but for me they wont move past the first slide. The game doesn't crash at all, I can pause the game and load a different save during them. The intro's will be stuck on the fallout: new vegas slide, and the outro's will say the dialogue for the first slide and the music will continue to play but wont finish no matter how long I wait. This oddly enough didnt happen with Dead money. I got through honest hearts by using a cutscene skip mod which is only a temporary solution. The same thing is happening when trying to now start OWB. Any idea whats causing this? I have not seen anyone else with this problem.
M48A5
More information is needed. Please see "How to ask for help" http://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/How_to_ask_for_help
EverChosen97
That is pretty much all the information I can give, I cant be more specific than that. In short, DLC cut-scenes freeze after first slide, but don't crash my game. Has happened with every DLC bar Dead money and Lonesome road, which I have yet to play
dubiousintent
Such problems are almost always due to "load order" or mod conflict problems. Without seeing your sorted LO, we can't tell anything except it is not a normal error. The other information requested in "How to ask for help" is so we can determine if there are any reasons not directly related to the game itself, such as you have the game installed to the default Steam location or don't have enough RAM. -Dubious-

dubiousintent
<Sigh.> When you are having problems with the DLC, it should be obvious that we need to see how you have them sorted in your load order. The load order includes EVERYTHING from "FalloutNV.ESM" on downwards. Leaving things out is like telling your doctor that you are "fine", and neglecting to mention you have frostbite. But where is your "Steamlibrary" installed? What drive and parent folder? (At least we can eliminate hardware as a potential issue.) Try without "Better Game Performance". Assuming the "SkippableDLCIntros.esp" is from "Skippable DLC Cutscenes" by DaWrecka, is it the updated "SkippableDLCCutscenes-1_1" version? If so, the author is still active and you should raise your problem with him. However, he makes no claim for compatibility with TTW, so that might be the issue. You might want to see if anyone on the TTW Support forum has tried the combination. -Dubious-
EverChosen97
My apologies, that was a mistake on my part. I swear I copied everything but here you go https://pastebin.com/sDQAHNyZ My steam library is in my storage drive (D:) no parent folder. Has NEVER been an issue for me before. Hardware is only about half a year old. What could be wrong with BGP? The description states that all it does is remove unused assets from the game to save data The skippable cutscenes mod, as I've stated before, was downloaded as a temporary solution to this problem problem. The DLC's are unplayable unless I get past the cutscenes so skipping is the only option for now. That's always the first place I go with my problem's, but sadly no one had an answer to this one. EDIT: Okay, noticed that the POP plugins were in the wrong spot...again. Now rectified. BOSS sorts them below the fallout 3 ones whenever I sort my LO for some reason. Could be causing it but I'll have to wait till I reach the end of OWB to find out Edited August 19, 2017 by EverChosen97
dubiousintent
Unless you are getting the "unofficial" masterlist updates for BOSS that Purr4me is maintaining, it's not recommended for FNV. (Contact her for that.) LOOT's list is more current than the BOSS "official" list. Also LOOT lets you define exactly which plugins need to follow other plugins in your load order using "metadata". HOWEVER, with TTW, like you I defer to the opinion of the TTW Support team and their FAQ. With the game installed on D: you can ignore that as a potential problem. Just something that need to be checked.Better Game Performance (NOT generally recommended by knowledgeable modders, test extensively first: some reports of minor slowdowns or worse, to include CTDs and corrupted saves. Best used with a "merge patch" or left out).Performance Of The Gods Disables the same things as "Better Game Performance", so use only one if you do. However, the same caution applies to both. Some of that "unnecessary stuff" is actually used to trigger quests and events. Most notable is the first tumbleweed rolling down the road towards the saloon as you exit Doc Mitchell's house, which triggers the Sunny Smiles quest. All I'm suggesting is (in light of those reports) seeing if it makes a difference. With your system, you really shouldn't need to reduce "assets". It's aimed at "low end" systems which need to stretch out every byte of RAM (i.e. less than 4GB RAM or 1 GB of VRAM). -Dubious-
EverChosen97
Right okay. I hear a lot of conflicting opinions on which is better for what between BOSS or LOOT so I dont know what to believe really. I've been noticing a lot less crashes recently so I'm not sure if its since I downloaded BGP in particular or if its my greatly reduced LO from all the merging I've been doing. But I'll give it a try thank you :) I'll update you on whether or not it worked.
EverChosen97
Discovered the issue. It was the URWLTTW mod. This problem also occurs with the regular NV version but apparently the mod author refuses to fix it
