thompsonar
I haven't been able to find any info on this, but with the most recent update and the one before I've had an odd side effect. When I first load up the game after updating I have many old save files reappear that I deleted long ago. I've gone through quite a few characters and save files but I end up deleting most of them. Currently I have 4 total. I had save files reappear from characters I abandoned long ago and therefore had deleted the file. I think in all I had 6 saves just pop back in randomly. Anyone noticed this or have any idea why / how it happened?
AbleGnome
Actually, I've had the opposite problem. I have had a whole night's worth of saves disappear completely. Happened twice. Lately, it seems okay.
thompsonar
Well I haven't had that, thank God. I The more I think about it, it has to be steam somehow. Does steam backup save games? I have had it in offline mode for a long time and am thinking when I put it back to online mode and downloaded the patch it restored some old saves that it had backed up when I first put it to offline. Which of course I had since deleted. Does that make sense?

Also by disabling it you don't have to deal with that never-ending sync error whenever steam is down for maintenance which stops you playing the game while online for the duration of the maintenance. thompsonar
I will have to disable that when I get home, didn't even know steam did this (Skyrim is the first game I've played that uses steam). Thanks.
Smelgafeld
Im having this problem as well, I made a post about it a few days back... no real answers. I even went into the documents and deleted the files but they show up again. More of an annoyance than anything, but would be nice to know why.
