Oblivion Crash with Vista 32

Recommended Posts

does anyone have any idea why oblivion crash with vista plz help me!?

Without more information to go on. It's either Vista, or Oblivion which is causing the crash.

Seriously though, as said, need more to go on here. System specs? Game version? Loaded mods? Description of what happens before it crashes? What were you doing when it crashed? When did these crashes start? Can they be isolated to a single event? That kind of information would be the sort of things we would need to start with.

Game version? Latest patch applied? Videocard specs? Loaded mods? Mod load order? When this started happening (since you had to get to town somehow)? Ingame video settings? Any part of the wilderness, or have you only been going one direction the whole time (IE if leaving the north gate of chorrol, and crashing, never trying the south gate)?

And 1.5gb ram might be a bit low for using Vista, you might want to try terminating any unnecessary processes before starting the game, especially if you have a number of large mods installed. The game's minimum and recommended requirements were gathered before Vista was released. Much of the initial complaint with Vista was in how resource demaning just the operating system is, and how many people did not have the hardware to do much more beyond that. Without you providing more information, there really isn't much else to say. We can only help you if you can explain your exact situation.

Laptop, ram overflow, windows vista, thats your issue, 2 things you can do,1) turn your video settings down, or 2)do a complete back up of your computer, and RE-BOOT, completly, i did that about a week ago and Oblivon does not crash at all with 200 or so mods running at once.

Another thing you can try is various mods that help with performance, like (Viagra for Oblivion or Oblivonzite. No just kidding) seriously streamline. Do a tag search on performance enhancers.

or else you have a bogus mod that is crashing the game on you, so what you could do before you right another word here is POST what mods you use here. because what it really sounds like is you have a mod that alters something in the wild, but we dont know because you dont take our advise and post what mods you use.
