Brinemobee
I think this could be a sweet little combat mod, basically the idea is that Arrows that are stuck into a person cause small amounts of bleeding damage, so if you get stuck like a pig you can die from the bleed out so instead, the player has to use something like the embalming tools, to 'extract arrows' (possible animation maybe) i imagine that they go onto the menu and select the tool, and the arrows are extracted, (maybe add an animation later down the line. i may try to make this myself, so if no 1 is interested in doing it could they let me know if its a hard task? as it would be my first mod. and also just let me know what you think thanks
cptNeutral
This is a great idea! I always thought most games handled arrow damage in an unrealistic way. Usually bows do "spike damage". I like the idea of the impact of an arrow doing very little damage, though inflicting some sort of damage over time status. A higher level player may not bleed out but he/she may take some attribute damage from infection or being impeded by the arrow being stuck in his body. I'd be all for a mod like this. gloomygrim
With the arrows causing bleed damage its easy enough to do just using the creation kit. Duplicate an arrow re name it to what ever you want. Then set how long the arrows stay before fading to the same as a bleed damage effect and you have it working and in game soon as it is done. The animations and use of items to get the arrow out will be a lot harder, and that is were my ability to help ends im affraid. Animations and such are not what i can do. let u sknow if you want me to do what i can do. grimm Edited April 14, 2012 by gloomygrim
SavageJedi
I would love to see this mod as well. Not sure how many of you notice when starting a new character.... trying to hunt elk and deer. Sneak attack with a bow might as well just be throwing rocks, then trying to chase with a follow up shot is nuts. Poison bout the only way if you want to play without using magic. Besides bleed damage from a deep puncture just seems like it should have been a given, the perks are there for axes, why the heck did they skip it as a perk for Archery I wonder. RaktoastTheSandwichTopper
this should be easy some one could just take the bleedout damage from axes and add it to arrows
Shadowling22
Here this might help, its not a mod that makes bleed damage on arrows a given (requires level 30 archery) but it might be of help to you. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49306/? TonyOQuinn
I had a similar idea for bolts that burn, freeze, or shock for damage over time. Using TES5EDIT and Creation Kit, I managed to copy Dwarven Bolts of Exploding Fire to a new Burning Bolt of Fire that burns for several seconds if the target fails resist vs fire. To do this for my own mod, I made a small explosion property with an enchantment that applies a magic effect which burns for a few seconds, then tapers down for a few seconds. The same principal could be used to create realistically lodged arrows without using a script. Leubast
Archery Gameplay Overhaul has bleeding arrows for PC and NPC as well as removing arrows to stop the bleeding with animation.
