elliottmarter
I'm having some issues getting my Logitech F710 Gamepad working with Skyrim, currently using the official Logitech software for the gamepad, but it isnt very up to date (last update in 2010), are there any good universal Gamepad suites that are known in the PC gaming circles (kind of new to the PC gaming scene). something that is open source maybe and kept up to date with all the latest controllers and profiles for games, kind of lost here, any help appreciated. natelovesyou
I can't help you with the gamepad you're talking about, but, do you have a PS3 controller? Because if you use MotionInJoy's DS3 (dualshock 3) controller driver for the PC it works great for a PS3 controller with a mini usb cable (as it can act as an XBOX360 controller and let you play Skryim with it). Sorry if that isn't helpful though. Haha. Edited February 29, 2012 by natelovesyou
elliottmarter
I do have a PS3 controller, and a long mini USB cable, So will give this a try (kudos). But I'm kind of surprised that using a Logitech Gamepad on Win7 with a brand new game like Skyrim is so much hassle
elliottmarter
issue solved, had the controller set to Direct Input rather than X Input, once I flicked the switch Skyrim saw the controller and all the buttons mapped themselves just like a Dualshock 3, MAGIC :D
natelovesyou
Oh good, I'm glad you got it figured out! :]
worldofscotty
Why doesn't everyone use Xbox Controllers? They are pretty dominant in my opinion for PC gaming and developers usually have a setting pre-mapped for them.
thompsonar
Doesn't matter if it's an Xbox controller really. Most newer controllers from any brand have an "X-Input" setting that mimics the Xbox controller completely without extra software. I use a logitec with my pc too. It was cheaper that the xbox controller and works great.
