SuperAxilla
I Oc'ed it to the 7970 specs and it didn't get much warming from the default temps. Although with this beast of a card you really don't need it, especially for Skyrim, which I'm getting Super stable fps, no lag or nothing, probably do the awesome 3gb of ddr5  It is a beast. Playing Skyrim made me dizzy. Is there a way to check your FPS? I'm still going through all the diagnostic tools on my PC and I'm not all that "tech savvy". SuperAxilla
Thor, Let me know if you run Furmark on your 7970. I did the 15 minute burn in on it. Came out with a score of 3891 points. 42 min frames, 44 max, averaged 42. Temp maxed at 75c. Total of 38,589 frames. I'm having a hard time getting anything from the score. I can't seem to find any comparable scores on the 7970 other than one other who ran about the same with a 3901 score at 38,715 frames. His maxed at 44 fps and his temp was 82c. Both at 1920 x 1080. It would be interesting to get a third
Thor.
Hmmm I'm eager to know, I am getting amazing temps with it so far, 32c on Idle and 47 on load, on fans to. overclocking past the 7970 specs is really high. I really don't need it that high yet though, give me some time to get used to the Ati drivers lol.'i'm very impressed how cool it runs, i played Crysis 2 for a good hour and it never went over 50c  My case is a Antec 900 if i haven't mentioned that before. I'm a big fan of gigabyte now, it will be a buy in the future to. I hope they do Invidia though Not sure, haven't seen a gigabyte 680 yet??'here is a bench mark of mine, never went over 62c witch is astounding. http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_192_score.php?id=54170 Stable, Stable, Stable. SuperAxilla
I'll have to monitor mine. Maybe stress it a bit with Witcher 2. Don't have Crysis 2 or anything that will put a real load on it. Yet. TES 5 doesn't stress it at all. I'll have to go back and check my idle temp, because 32c seems really cool. Dunno how far you went into Furmark, but 60c sounds like it's running extremely cool. Not going to OC it, though. I really don't see the need. But I might look into adding an Arctic Accelero Xtreme cooler on it. Depending on what the other comparable max temps run compared to mine. Still, might not be such a bad idea to add the Arctic even if I'm not OC'ing it. Maybe it'll add to the lifespan (and if I ever eventually OC it, it'll be there)

SuperAxilla
That's pretty good! Wonder why there is such a temperature gap? Mine maxed at 75c, but it went to 44 fps. So I wonder if that may have something to do with it. I can't figure out the whole points thing, but what concerns me most is the temp. Think I might add the Arctic. Supposedly brings down the temp by 20 degrees (according to Arctic).

Thor.
I like the fact that the fans cover the entire video card, i wish all cards had that feature, i think it should be a standard, Makes sense don't you think.
