New video card upgrade

Recommended Posts

Yeah, the two standards seem to cover the whole card but the three leave no gaps. If I add this Arctic accelero, it'll be interesting to see if really does drop the temp as much as they claim.

ya thats a reference model all right, hmm i hope they keep going with the three pci fans. Its a great idea. Better then Saphire i think

coulda sword i saw tests somewhere that said that currently, the Sapphire is the coolest and the quietest in the 7000 series cards. cant remember where i saw it, and dont feel like looking it up tonight

I like the fact that the fans cover the entire video card, i wish all cards had that feature, i think it should be a standard, Makes sense don't you think.

yes and no. more fans = more noise. whats quiet to you might not be quiet to someone else. the reverse is less fans = quieter but slightly hotter, and in this case, whats hot to you might not necessarily by hot to someone else. which is why most designs have two 80 or 92mm fans, a compromise between heat and sound. and those who make the better fan design can usually get even better results in both those categories.

regardless, thats why i want a "soundproof" case. i want 0 sound coming from my case. and between the silent case, the quiet 3rd party Heatsink, the fans ill be replacing the stock fans with, the sapphire GPU i picked out (though that could still change, as i wont it build till end of June/beginning of July) and the SSDs i plan on using, my case will most certainly fulfill my wish.

Hmm did i mention that i can sleep by it now   More fans equals less movement from fans=quieter pc  Also runs more efficient except crysis, well knowing how Biased Crysis is when it come to Driver compatibility, noting that it runs good with Nvidia logo at start :teehee:

getting 40fps when i should be getting 60fps if not more.

Skyrim getting a smooth 60 fps at 32x multisampling
