AmeaAya Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 Was looking into making a mod with a polymorph spell of sorts, and I noticed that every other mod that does similar and the Wabbajack staff itself all remove the target and replace it with the result. I am wondering why. Does SetRace mess something up? Besides an awkward camera angle I don't really see why you'd replace them with another NPC instead of using SetRace.
AmeaAya Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Bumping because I don't want to start a project and then realize the entire bases has some horrible game breaking flaw.
jimhsu Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 It's ... more complicated than SetRace. We're talking about balancing stats, adding all appropriate creature items and spells, adding the appropriate AI packages, etc etc. For throwaway NPCs, disable/enable is far easier.

I think the fact they would retain AI packages would make it that much more hilarious. I realize all that will get discluded but I was wondering if any stats would be messed up or anything.
