blackandwhite1459
I created a custom version of the "Well Rested" effect with a +20% skill use modifier. I'm trying to figure out now, what happens if I have the Well Rested or Lover's Comfort effect in combination with my custom one. Do the effects stack up? If I have the custom one and Well Rested at the same time, do I get the netto effect of 1.2x1.1=1.32(32%)? I don't suppose there's a console command to check what skill use modifier my character has, is there?
lofgren
Your assessment is correct. The effects will multiply.
DukePatrick
The effect STACKS (are added together) 1.2 and 1.1= 2.3 NOT 1.32 This is why many of the perks in the game cancel out other similar perks including all the vanilla "Well Rested" perks effects. Look at them in the CK, you will find either a condition check or a keyword to cancel previous to prevent the stacking.
lofgren
The above poster is incorrect. You can read about how perks work on the perk page on the wiki. The order of operations is determined by priority.
DukePatrick
blackandwhite1459, test for yourself. Then you will know who is correct.
lofgren
You can use Mod Attack Damage or some other entry point that provides visible feedback to test. As you have determined it can be difficult to assess skill progression and I don't think there is any way to access that value. Note that if DukePatrick was correct then having both the Mage Stone benefit and being Well Rested would cause your magic skills to increase at 2.3x the normal rate, which is clearly not correct. blackandwhite1459
Thanks guys. I tested with other entry points, it seems that the effects in fact multiply.
