Avematic420
Hi all, I have an old file on new vegas that works perfectly fine with all the same mods. I started up a new game and have had nothing but issues. After editing my stats and adding a bunch of weapons and stuff into my inventory and saving and doing some quests my save files all disappeared. My game crashes also occasionally which was rare before. The irony is fallout 3 is working better than new vegas, which has never been the case for me. I am thinking of deleting all my mods and reinstalling new vegas and the mods. Would this fix the problem?
dubiousintent
Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article, first. Also, please clarify: did you start a new game from the previous game setup, or did you reinstall FNV? What version of Windows are you running, and if Win10 was it a clean install or an upgrade? -Dubious-
Avematic420
Sorry I am new to the forums and usually just on nexus for mods. Usually dont have issues with them. pc brand is asustek abd model rog gr6.It is a desktop, not a laptop.intel® core i5-5200u cpu 2.20 ghz. its a 64-bit operating system this is all I could find out on the pc itself. I have 29.1gb free on my windows c and 394gb free on my data folder. I have new vegas installed in my data folder as that has more space and I usually have online multiplayers in my c folder. I have windows 8 installed. New vegas is downloaded from steam but I use the NVSE loader to start the game. I started a new game as in I created a new character from the start menu. I didnt reinstall it or anything. I still have the save file from my old character available he is in the Sierra Madre. I have downloaded a few new mods since then But they were just Indigo radio, New vegas uncut outside bets and electro city. Nothing is red in my load load order list (except fallout character overhaul russell, but that isnt checked off in my plugins and It wouldnt load the game if it was) hope this is enough information to start
dubiousintent
We REALLY need to see your sorted "load order" as produced by LOOT. With modded games, its the sequence, not merely the list of mods, which is the cause of many problems. Instructions are in the "How to ask for help" article, and "Checklist Item #11' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. -Dubious-
Avematic420
I am trying to upload a printscreen image of my load list from nmm I dont have LOOT downloaded. For some reason the only images I can post are from a URL Link or from " My Media" and I cant upload anything to my media. Can I send them to you via email?? Sorry I am not very tech savvy and would like to thank you for your help in advance.
dubiousintent
Images can't generally be posted to the forums. You would have to put them on another site and use the URL Link to point to it. They are terrible for providing the "load order" (LO) because they usually can't show everything in one image. Download LOOT (it's linked in the "How to ask for help" article) and install it manually to the game root folder (i.e. "<install path>\Fallout New Vegas"). Read the documentation, but copy your LO into a list suitable for posting on forums. (The command to copy this list to your clipboard is under the ":" with three dots to the extreme right in it's menu bar.) Then just click on the "green bar" icon (SpecialBBcode) in the top row of the "Reply to this topic" page, select "spoiler tag", and paste the list from your clipboard in between the "spoiler" tags in the body of the post. Most "mod managers" have a similar "LO List" capability, but you will have to read their tutorials to work that out for yourself. However the total number of mods you have installed in the DATA folder is also important, because even inactive plugins are counted against the so-called "140 cap". LOOT provides both numbers: active and total installed. Edit for typos and clarity. -Dubious- Edited September 3, 2017 by dubiousintent
