kamatsudash
Hi, I recently had an issue with NexusMods site where I could not download any sites, but this was due to using HTTPS Everywhere and the Nexus Mods conversion of their site that's still ongoing. Fixed that by disabling HTTPS Everywhere on NexusMods and could download perfectly fine. Today I did a scan for Skyrim SE mods and saw a few that needed to be updated, clicked and it opened NexusMods on FireFox... but I was not logged in. So clicked the "Login" thing at the top, entered my details in the dropdown box, clicked 'log in' ... and it reloaded the page with me still not logged in. Tried again, same issue. I disabled relevant addons entirely (HTTPS Everywhere, Ad Blocker & Privacy Badger) but same issue - it wouldn't log in at all. Opened forums and logged into forums, but now when I try and access the mod site... I just get a "The page isn’t redirecting properly" error page no matter what I try in FireFox. I've checked and FF is set to accept cookies, I don't have any addons that block cookies, ads or such enabled. NexusMods sites are working 100% find in Microsoft Edge - so I'm C&P'ing the mod URLS from FF to Edge to update my mods. But wondering if this issue with FireFox is just a temporary glitch due to the site conversion, or if there is something on my end that could be causing this - and what to check. giorestZoneside
I have the same identical issue with latest firefox, so no, it's not on our end, the problem is the JavaScript, for some reason of ALL INTERNET, this site is the only only rejected with errors, of thousands of sites Analysts tools tell me nexus mod JavaScript implementation is at fault Basically in https JavaScript do not work, while on standard http do, but it's impossible to download more then 2mb without authentication or vote, so i have to use 2 different browser to navigate the site, opera if anyone care, as opera too give me error in the logs if i try to login but manage to ignore them, i guess it's due to how JS is implemented in it MODS please do not ignore this error and verify your implementation
Thandal
The error *is* on your end. It's in the way your browser is configured to handle what it sees as "insecure" sites. Without going into lots of (mostly boring) detail, just log-on to the "Forums" side (completely https) then switch to the "Files" area. If still encountering difficulties, check that you've disabled "https everywhere" (or it's equivalent) in your browser's settings. These issues ARE related to the decision by the major browsers to default to "https required". The change was made as part of browser updates over the past several months. While I support that decision, the "fix" (until all websites are able to reconfigure themselves) is in the hands of the users. NOTE: I'm currently running Win10/64-bit, and have used FF almost exclusively for my own activities here on the Nexus for the past eight years (now on v55). I also frequently test with Edge, Chrome, and IE11. Yes, there are certain things that don't work across all browsers (esp. Edge) but basic file and image upload/download actions work perfectly well with all.
Ozfer
I have this exact same problem in chrome. Definitely the websites fault. I have dissabled adblock, disconnect, and https everywhere and now the website is redirecting me to phising urls according to my av.
