blackhand8657
Are F4SE-dependent mods the only issue, (just like any update) with the Creation Club update right now, just wait on an F4SE update? Haven't used any mods downloaded via Bethesda or Steam, all are from Nexus or personal mods I made myself. Haven't played FO4 in a while anyway, so not a big deal if that's all that's needed. Thanks in advance
Nadie2283
Any mods that require F4SE will not function properly if you launch the game and any mods dependent on it will break accordingly. A new update should be out for F4SE within a few days or at worst by the end of the week. Just another nail in the coffin for CC. Breaking all the currently working systems for overpriced crap. GG Bethesda. GG. Edit: apologies for the double post, internet has been a bit finicky with the hurricane Edited August 30, 2017 by cam267

LucasKaneqd
Is there a way to keep playing the current Fallout version in the meantime? I was suggested to set Fallout on Steam to be updated only when I start the game. So I have prevented it from updating. Then, I was to start the game only when in offline mode... but Steam says "the game is not ready to be played in offline mode", so... we're just screwed until F4SE is updated?(NOTE: I don't mind THAT much waiting for a F4SE update, it's just that it's my "first time" with this issue since I only started modding recently. Also, that I feel for those poor guys updating F4SE if Beth keeps bringing new updates all the time now because of the CC)
pra
Lol, steam actually remembers that a game COULD be updated, and refuses to start it? What a bunch of assholes... You could try backupping your *.exe, let steam to it's worst, and then restore the backup.edit: it seems like you need to backup the libScePad.dll as well I set my steam to offline mode since the first announcement of this whole crap. Seems like that's the only way to be sure. Edited August 30, 2017 by pra

Seems like that's the only way to be sure. Maybe that's why. I didn't set it to not-to-autoupdate until I leaned this was already on beta. Now it says Update Required. I'll try your suggestion, but won't steam re-update it when I try to play?
pra
It shouldn't. Unless you do this "revalidate local files" or whatever it's called, it doesn't actually check the files.
