StayFrosty05
get a check mark beside that archive invalidation entry under NMM for any game it supports without exactly 1 form of archive invalidation, no texture will change from base game -- or will be that peculiar purple  BTW don't install anything to the default location under Windows 7 or Vista otherwise UAC will slowly devour your life and NMM takes over many functions of FOMM -- for what it doesn't ---> use Wrye Flash (Vegas) - Gary Bash (FO3) and Wrye Bash (Oblivion)Thank you Fonger....I am taking this all on board and really appreciate your help and crash course... ....I know the friend downloaded Wrye Bash and used it on Vegas, but you recommend Wrye Flash huh?....I have a lot of home work ahead of me... :pinch: .... :) ....though am feeling like I have learned a lot more today than I have since I began this whole venture and that I thank you for. I do have one last question if I may?.....I have decided I would like to uninstall and reinstall both Skyrim and Fallout NV....reason being, I have been experiencing a few unfortunate glitches in my Skyrim game, such as I can't get out of Sam's Garden (the quest comes up as complete, but Sam doesn't send my dude back to the Tavern), the Prisoner isn't in the Thalmor Embassy Dungeon and I can't recruit my favorite follower 'Annekke Crag-Jumper', the dialog to recruit her doesn't come up.....So I am assuming in all the mucking around with various mods I have experimented with, I may have done some damage to my game, so I am hoping an uninstall/reinstall may correct it for me? And in doing so, if I deactivate the mods I have in the game but not remove them from NMM, would they remain safe in the NMM whilst I do this? As for FalloutNV, because I don't know exactly what has been done to this game Mods wise and how so, I am hoping if I uninstall the game, go through my computer and try and purge the system of any Fallout NV mods, then reinstall the game, it should then be a clean game and open to my own attempts to Mod it using NMM? Fonger
start up wrye bash and notice what the first box says bash is flash is gary mods are safe in NMM unless you delete the folder they reside in (the folder NMM uses for this particular game's mods) but if you've only used NMM to install your mods then uninstalling your mods should return your game to original state - except for any manual ini edits Edited March 4, 2012 by Fonger
