Werne Posted March 3, 2012 Share Posted March 3, 2012 (edited) Since Skyrim got out I've been trying to make models for it but many of them I deleted because I'm unable to make half-decent textures for them (I really need more practice with Photoshop :facepalm:). The rest I lost because of a hard drive failiure a few days ago, stupid me forgot to make a backup :wallbash:. Even if I do still have them I make most of my stuff just because I can, 90% of the stuff I make I never use for anything, I just render them and save the pic. Anyway, today I've got my comp working perfectly again and I've made two models, a sword and a war glaive. I don't really like them, the textures are god-awful *pukes from looking at them*. But I've seen some good texture artists around here so I hope someone will use them for something (or atleast try). I'd hate to see these sit on my hard drive untill it fails and I lose them forever. You'll need some modeling knowledge if you want to get them in-game, they are in Wavefront (.obj) format. My head explodes after 2 minutes in NifSkope so I definately won't do it. When I make more models I'll update the thread with new pics and download links. Also, feel free to comment, all suggestions/questions/whatever are welcome, even meaningless comments :thumbsup:. You're free to do whatever you want with them, even i I finished them I'd release them as modders resources so people can do whatever they want with them. Ironman5000 Posted March 4, 2012 Share Posted March 4, 2012 I might to attempt these, I would consider using them in my current mod based around the nightmare world of Vaermina but they would need a retexture to suit the theme if it's ok. I've worked with obj files before when I did the Identity Disc weapon for NV, although I had issues with holstering anims which didn't get sorted but these should be no problem as they aren't a completely new type of weapon. As for the holstering animations, they should work fine, though I'm not sure about the glaive since it has a blade on each side of the grip so there will probably be some clipping.
