TyrisBel
... I don't know how to tell you this fg, I tweaked and played with your script for a while, with no luck, and then took it out and tested it as posted above, (just to check it was still working.) And the follower teleported with me... with no extra scripting! Previous to writing this thread they were NOT doing that. So I have no idea, but that does not seem to be a problem anymore. I feel bad considering how much effort you put into that script. Sorry!
Sunnie
Alright, I have narrowed down the teleporting to city worldspace problem.... It has to do with the huge number of weapon plaques and bookshelves in the cell. Once I cut the massive number of bookshelves and the plaques, the teleporting works just fine from the cell to city worldspaces. It bugged the hell out of me that it works just fine with my massive mem use cells, but not this one. It dawned on me that I don't have a bajillion bookcases and weapon plaques ( I have quite a few plaques, but they are spread out all over my cells). Sure enough, taking all those out did the trick. I believe the actual problem is that there are just too many objects the game is trying to unload from frostfang and it screws up loading of the destination city cell because they have an absolutely massive number of objects and AI running through them. TyrisBel
That makes sense, so going to tamriel isn't such a mem burden, once its there, it can teleport into the city without issue. Well done Sunnie, I would never have found that in a million years
Sunnie
I'm pretty confident thats why others may have the same issue. people seem to be going crazy with weapon plaques, mannequins, and bookcases. What people don't realize is that each weapon plaque is 2 objects, each mannequin is 3 objects, each weapon/shield plaque is 9 objects, and one small bookcase is 30 objects. Stick 30+ of these in your house cell and you have added hundreds of objects that have to be dealt with by the engine along with the other objects that make up the interior. The engine just isn't handling the shear number of object crunching it has to do in this case. I believe Bethesda already saw this issue and used these displays sparingly in the player houses because of this. Korodic
Ok, so here is what I have been able to figure out. Theres a problem with your 0frostfang cell, the issue only happens when you teleport from that cell into a city worldspace. I tested door teleports and it actually crashes teh game to desktop, from that cell only. I tried from different interior cells, vanilla, duplicated, and new, and your teleport script and normal door teleports work just fine from anywhere except 0frostfang. I can't see what the actual problem with the cell is, but I am certain theres something broken about it. Not the knid of news you want to hear, but I suggest a redo in a fresh esp that hasn't been touched by a homebrew editor. Do a lot of testing as you rebuild the mod, you may find that you placed something incorrectly or used something that should not have been and constant testing as you go would allow you to pinpoint an issue right away.I had the same issue with the Katariah when I duplicated it. I hate to separate it into multiple interiors to avoid crashing. It kinda sucked to do that, but it worked, and it is more optimized I guess. davidnowlin
You guys rock my face off. I was having this same issue. I love it when I find a thread that's already solved something that has me pulling my hair out. I'm going to test the bugprevent script fix now. Thanks again. davidnowlin
Tested and confirmed. The two hop teleport to Tamriel and then into a city fixes the problem like a charm. Thanks again, everyone.
