RL is quite time consuming atm...i might finish it tomorrow.

But regarding the sheath - i guess this small "wooden par" with the leather strips is at the backside to attach the sheath so you won't see it when you look at your char from behind, right?

cool yes thos straps shud be facing the char so you cudnt see them from the out side and its a 2h wep so id want it on the back :) its a decent size so shud be to large to haw on the side id pref it on the back any how ;)

Yeah guess i can make a 1h version as well.

 

However, i have to alter the sword a bit.

Reduce the color saturation, darken the blade and the runes a bit (bright blade would get white in sunlight with my current light reflection settings and the runes would be invisible in 3rd person view)...i can't recognize the rune text on those low resolution images, same with the sheath decoration - quality is too bad so i will use nordic runes but not the same order and skip the middle part of the sheath decoration - it will work though, the shape will stay the same.

 

2h sheaths always look a bit weird in Skyrim, it looks fine when you stand/walk but when you equip the weapon the character lowers his stance, kneels a bit so the sheath points away from the back...looks a bit strange sometimes so i plan to make 3 versions in one plugin:

 

2h with sheath

2h without sheath

1h with sheath

I need a tester for a preview build, it contains the 2h version+sheath...it's quite finished i will just add a few changes to the textures (hilt end part and sheath)...

 

What i need to know:

 

Does the sword work as it should?

Forging/ugrading works?

Is the name displayed correcty? It should be "Nøkkelen" with the weird o, it works on my computer (only displayed wrong in console) but i don't know if those letters work with US keyboard layout/fonts as well - i guess it should.

 

I added it to Dwarven Smithing since Mr Swordmaker on his page describes that it was created by dwarves, 2 point less dmg compared to the Daedric Greatsword but 0.1 faster - so quite similar.

 

Just copy the meshes and textures folder & .esp file into your ...Skyrim\data\ folder, activate the plugin and create it ingame - if you don't have the smithing skill open the console (key ^) and enter:

help kkelen 4

This command displays a code like XX000D63, then just enter:

player.additem XX000D63 1

XX= the load number of the mod, will be a number...and 1 in the end is the amount, the item will be placed in your inventory...so if someone has got a minute to test it, i send it with PM.

So here is the DL, i will add the 1h and the 2h version without sheath later ... if i ever find the time, already took me too long to make this one, got to finish some other models first and maaaybe a bit RL and such stuff.

 

As mentioned, had to modify the colors so they work ingame as well, a brighter color would end up as a white texture in sunlight 'cause i added heavy reflections.
