Another case of PSOD on GFWL version

I have experience the pink screen of death for the first time today. My game was running a little laggy, then CTD'd, so I figured that lowering my graphics settings would help, right? WRONG. After turning my Anisotropic filtering down and my HDR off, the game had pink screen of death, then ceashed. I tried reverting the changes, but to no avail. All of my other games work fine, New Vegas is the only one with issues. I did a Google search and found plenty of people with the problem and reporting it fixed(including some on here), but nobody posted how they fixed it.

I'm running Windows 7 32-bit, 4GB of RAM, a Zotac GeForce 9600GT 1GB, and an Intel Core2Duo [email protected]. All drivers are up to date.

I'd rather not re-install the game as I do have a few(15) mods installed, so if anyone can recommend a fix, please help.

EDIT: Problem has been fixed. After a re-install, I still had the error, so as a last-ditch effort I decided to delete all of the text files in the Documents/My Games/FalloutNV folder. I'm not sure which one was buggy, but deleting them all did the trick.

It's this version:

And to prove that I didn't just photoshop a cover, it's currently being sold on both Amazon and eBay.

I know what is says, just about every one of my game cases have that on the front of it. It was a common mistake, as some GFW games do use Live, such as FO3 and GTAIV.

Anyways, nothing in there seems to be of any help. that thread mentioned a few mods that I don't have, and the error was caused in a completely different way than mine was. The only mod I have that was mentioned in that thread is the Type 3 body replacer, but like I said in the original post, everything worked fine until I used the splash menu to edit my graphics settings. After that, I get hit with this pink screen crap, whether I launch via NVSE or FalloutNVLauncher.

Now that I think about it, there's only three .INIs in the FalloutNV folder, but when I deleted them, there were four. I didn't think to read the titles when I removed them, but it looks like the fourth was the bad apple. Perhaps the reason for PSOD is this fourth .INI file?
