Invisible Rebreather

Here you go, all I changed is the visibility of the Rebreather. You still need to finish the quest, and it still takes the mask slot when worn but is not seen.

I could have made it so masks work with it, added a leather repair and boosted the health of it but I just did what the request said.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

I started a new character to test the invisible rebreather. It almost works perfectly. The only issue I'm having is it causes the game to crash when continuing or loading a game. If I use the F9 quick load or start a new game and then load game from there the game still works and the rebreather is invisible. It just prevents loading into the game from the main menu. I've tried deactivating and reactivating archive invalidation and moving it all up and down in my load order and nothing has worked. The game is not unplayable, it just requires a little more work to get into the game.

I'll look at it when I get the chance real soon, but I tested it out a few times and never shared that problem. Might be a load order conflict, or just the mod as well. I'll let you know what I find.

Skyzoo, thought I would give you an update. I only just recently noticed I don't have any anti-crash mods and installed both NVAC and Zan AutoPurge Crash Protector. I can now continue into the game when I first load up the game itself, but it will still crash when I quit to the main menu and then try to continue into the game again. It's a... Very interesting thing to happen. And really only does happen when I'm trying to remind a vendor that it's restock day. Anyway, I can at least load in with from the first visit to the main menu with the invisible rebreather and that refreshes stock as well. So there's that!

Please see the 'Issue: CTD upon quitting a modded game' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

Do not use an "Auto-purge" mod for game play. (That was old advice from before we knew better.) They are designed for debugging by mod creator's only, according to the author of the JIP NVSE extensions to NVSE. See the 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu', "Cause-2", "Solution-3" entry in the "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide for the game settings that do the same job.
