flatbush71
Guys, I'm doing a extremely long play-thru this time for a bunch of different reasons and I'm learning and seeing some very surprising things. The really interesting stuff started around Lvl 170 and has continued to increase ( I'm at 195 now). The A.I. on A.I. action is getting very intense. For example two Mystic death claws battled each or for 5 mins. or more .they amount of dirt thrown as well as stomps were incredible. Finally one yielded and the winner went south near the bridge by Bunker Hill and proceeded to destroy more than a dozen high level Synths.Delta-Mike and I finally took him down after a very fierce battle. Just now, I ran across the pack of named ghouls and they took down a large group of raiders including Legendary. In many cases these are very large groups battling each other and may be composed of three or more factions. I destroyed the raiders in Nuka -World and all three of those factions as well as two robot factions are always engaging all over the CW. I started this in late March and I am at 600 + real world hours so far.The save is 6Gb plus so I don't know how much longer it will load but we'll wait and see. In short, what I'm saying is if you have time and patience there is really interesting game play at high levels in survival mode. I would also like to add that all of the mods here on the Nexus make this game worth playing. If it wasn't for the mods it wouldn't be worth playing. The default game is pure......... well you guys know. I was going to make a list of the modders but it would be sooooo long I'm afraid in my very old age I'll forget somebody and that wouldn't be fair. So Thank You very much to all of you !!!!And please continue your great work here on NeXuS !!! Evangela
What mods you using? No save should be over a gig from vanilla gameplay @_@.
flatbush71
I would say its because of the scrap everything and a couple of more mods like that.As well, I build workshops everywhere and build all kinda stuff. Or maybe Snap N' Build got to me.It works fine until you build the computer console to change textures and then it goes KaBoom. I rebuilt the entire bridge that gets blown up by the Institute and the one that Liberty Prime destroyed.I also rebuilt the inside of M lair. I mod as I play. Also thanks for the feedback, I was wondering what the size of a normal save should be. Buck Edited September 7, 2017 by flatbush71
Evangela
Well if it continues to grow, there is a problem for sure. Either way, enjoy your game man. Edited September 8, 2017 by Rasikko
falloutkid12
Is each save file 6Gigs?, or is the sum of all save files for that one character 6Gigs? If it's the latter it's understandable (my newest character that I made ~2 weeks ago would take up over 2Gigs, had I not deleted older saves.), but if it's the former, you may have some serious save bloat. flatbush71
One character, one playthru, I started with a clean save folder.I'm wanting to see just how far I can push it and still play. I'm having a blast doing it.There are so many new and good mods I'm wanting to see just how much I can get. As well, if I have to disable every object in the CW, I'm going to find all of those Gnomes. Roentgens
At your level, NPCs that scale with player level, such as charred ghouls, mutant warlords, deathclaws, star paladins etc, have super high health pools and become bullet sponges. Since weapons damage doesn't scale, NPC battles just get longer and longer. If you go to Fallen Skybridge, Gunners and Mutants will probably shoot at each other for ages. The pack of named ghouls you ran across, they were probably all charred ghouls at your level. They are like a walking apocalypse to any humanoid NPC that they can path to. Charred ghouls have insane damage output, backed up by a massive health pool, combined with scary run speed. They can't deal with monstrous creatures and high end robots though, since their radiation damage does nothing.

I've put in arpund 1000 hours, and probably a few hundred before switching to pc. I've probably started over 30 tines at least , and have never made it past level 60. I see lots of complaints, but I've yet to find another game that allows you to customize your experience so much. I like making different load orders and changing the CW as much as possible for different playthroughs.
Illtempered
Are you sure the save file isn't 60mb? That sounds a lot closer. I'm level 85 and my save file is 22,000 kb or 22 mb, and has been hovering close to there for quite some time now with very stable game-play. 60 gigs just sounds way over the top. If it really is that big my guess is you have some serious save bloat. Just my 2 cents.

Even 60mb is somewhat biggish - I'm at level 164 and my saves are under 25mb.
