Majic7
I have Willow, Boone and Cass as companions now. I haven't completed Cass's quest line and I think this is why I have two humanoid companions. The only companion mods I use are Improved Companion Sandbox and Companion Infinite Ammo. Got to level 15 and tried Old World Blues. When I did the fast travel to Old World Blues Boone was sent home but Cass came with. Have I found an exploit? dubiousintent
More likely a bug. According to "The Vault" you are not supposed to have companions accompany you in any DLC, apparently stripped off upon entry. However, after completing OWB I have been able to bring companions with me into The Sink by way of the "MT Transportalponder". (Haven't had a reason to take them outside into the remainder of MT.) You don't really need them, and their presence might cause additional problems as the scripts/scenarios are not prepared for them. -Dubious-
Majic7
OK, I just fired Boone and was able to rehire him with no problems. Guess I will just keep going until something goes south. I am used to Fallout games hitting some wall somewhere. Finally gave up on 4 because something always screws up, should have stayed on my first playthrough, got to level 40 with absolutely no problems but decided to replace my upgraded W10 with a clean install. I knew about companions and the DLC in NV which is why I posted my situation. I'll see if it changes after I complete Cass's quest. Now I feel like a complete dumbass, I've got unlimited companions installed. Looked for it three times and couldn't find it. Sorry for the stupid. JimboUK
Yeah the unlimited companions would have done it, the game only dismisses the first one, you can end up vanilla companions in the penthouse for the same reason.
