taly007
Hi there!I just added various shirtless mods to Fallout 4. I am certain I did it correctly (I think so!), but I can't see the results "in-game".My ini files were modified per Gopher's video, and I downloaded and use, and activated the mods using the nexus manager.I can even click on the MODS link on the game menu and see the mods, all of which are checked. But I can't see any difference on my character. How do i load or access the shirtless mods for my character?Thank you!--newbie
Jeir
First: Welcome!Second: Every game has its own dedicated forum. You can access them by clicking the big 'Forum' button on any Nexus site. The Fallout 4 one is here.Third: It's generally a good idea to at least link the mod in question. Not everyone wants to track down the mod(s) you're talking about, especially as many can have similar or even identical names. I'm assuming you mean this one.Fourth: Always read the entire mod description and sticky post(s) before downloading any mod. The sticky post(s) are posts that are 'stuck' to the top of the comment thread, and are outlined with a thin red border. They (almost) always go through how to install/use/troubleshoot the mod. For the above mod, the mod description says you need to use the console to spawn the items in. You open the console by hitting the tilde/grave key (the key to the left of '1' on your top number bar, has ~ for US layout, ` for UK. Not sure about others.)Fifth: Again, welcome, and have fun with/frustration from modding!
taly007
Hmmm....okay....I used the ~ and the help menu to find the items, but I still do not know hot to load the items from the console to the game. I suspect I am unfamiliar with the correct command. Can you assist me with that? This is really confusing!
Jeir
The mod description tells you what to do. Although, I admit, the author could have been a little more thorough. After opening the console, type "player.additem <code>", without the quotation marks and with '<code>' being replaced by the item ID of the outfit you want. See here for more information about console commands.Through further reading on my behalf, it appears there is also an option to have the outfits replace vanilla outfits, and also have them appear in shops.
