Completion of the prophecy. Questions.

Just a quick question to clear something that has been bothering me.

<POSSIBLE SPOILERS>

After completion of the main quest, becoming the Nevearine, you are told to continue on with ridding the land of Morrowind from evil blah blah blah. But I thought part of the prophecy was to "strike down the false gods"? I do relise that when you play Tribunal you kill Alemelixia (as she had killed Sotha Sil) but what about Vivec? When you travel back to Vivecs palace and try to kill him (and sucsefully do) you are presented with "killed important npc........." so what happens to Vivec? In "striking down the false Gods" are they meaining to add uncertainty to there status as gods. And if so why is it that when you tell people (including dunmer) that you have killed Almelxia that people get pissed??

Is there something Im not getting??

Cheers.

Those are some very valid points that you make. I would love it if somebody would just accept the fact that I've killed Almalexia, but nobody believes me! Azura said that for a long time the people would be unwilling to accept the truth, oh well.

As far as ending Vivec's existence goes. When you go speak to him after finishing off Almalexia he states that he expects that you will kill him! I think you can safely ignore that message but perhaps you shouldn't quote me on that. But I read that Morrowind is structured in such a way, that even if you kill off one of the main NPC's the game can still e completed! :)

yeah, theres no actual storyline involving killing vivec yet. as stampede says u can get his 10 cents on almalexia's death when u talk 2 him, hes the only one in all of vvardenfell who'll believe u (besides perhaps the dissident priests - i havent tried them yet :P)

i expect they'll release a main quest for the death of vivec along with their next vvardenfell expansion (possibly the last...?)

I believe once you complete the game's main quest, you can kill all of those NPCs that give you the 'disrupted prophecy' messege without any reprocussions (since they're only useful in fulfilling the quest and serve little other purpose). But, dont quote me on that... ;)

Just a quick question about killing Almalexia. Can you kill him/her/whatever with just Morrowind, or do you need to have the Tribunal expansion? I don't have any of the expansions yet (my wife doesn't really like that I have Morrowind, but I might get them anyways) so I don't know.

There is going to be another expansion pack??? :blink:

Well off I go to Vivecs palace to teach him a thing or two. I never thought about the fact that If I had finnished the main quest, those NPC's are now obsolete. Thanks.

Well if that is the case then why does no one believe/accept it? I do understand that if someone went around saying (hypothetical no ofence meant to anyone) that God was dead and that you had done the deed that everyone would be pissed but wouldnt there be some reconition (from someone) that what you say you did happened?? <other than Azura>
