Question about texturing

I don't believe this will be very hard to do but then again, ya never know. Anyway, what I want to do is make 4 copies of a stone model and only change the color of the stone. I know how to change the colors but I don't know what files I need to edit to keep from replacing them instead of making 4 new ones. I hope that makes sense. Lol Anyway I would appreciate the help. :)

Thank you so much for your kind hint!

I will have to work through it.

As you may know, I have written a step-by-step instruction about retexturing an item (sword for example) myself, s. https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4427/?, but I didn't know, how to avoid replacing them instead of making new ones. So thank you!

Thank you so much for your kind appreciation! I feel flattered. Actually, it took me weeks to write this instruction about retexturing.

Maybe, at least some pictures may be helpful for you.

I wouldn't try to write a thorough tutorial (I am always writing my instructions idiot-proof, because I am writing them for me) in a foreign language myself, because I guess, it has to be as exact as possible. (In addition, I don't want to blunder with my English, ha, ha.)

However, another modder, who has got Spanish as mothertongue, told me, that he translated my instructions into Spanish and that they were very helpful for him. That must have been a lot of effort, indeed.

Maybe, I can help you another time to figure out something else for you on my part. I guess, you already know, how to scale items and get the scaled versions into the Toolset for example, don't you? Until now, I didn't write any instruction about, but I already know, how to do that. So, in case you want to learn about, I could help (in English). Just an offer, of course.

As far as texturing goes, my skills are very limited. I know how to do it by editing dds files and scaling is easy with the DA_Tool. And that is only with props, placeables, and level models. The only thing I've done with weapons and armor is edit a few tint maps. I don't want to get too involved with anything more until I've finished my other projects, tho.
