FWE seemingly incompatible with own plugin.

Hey guys.

 

Just recently picked up this little gem again, after countless hours in Vegas. I decided to mod it heavily, as I always do, but I seem to get random - and highly frequent - crashes. I've tried the BOSS auto sorter, but it just seems to increase the frequency of crashes, now usually within ~1 minute, give or take. There's no specific 'trigger' to these crashes, they appear quite randomly, even when turning the camera or picking up a useless item from the floor.

So, I ran the diagnostics. I am not sure if this is what causes it, but I've only got these two conflicts:

 

 

FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced.esp

Bash Tag suggestion(s): {{BASH: Actors.ACBS, Actors.AIData, Actors.Stats}}

Incompatible with: FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp

Incompatible with: FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced.esp

 

 

There is a few bash tag suggestions, but these shouldn't be rendering the game unplayable.. or would they?

Any help or input would be amazingly appreciated.

Not sure if that will cause crashes as often as you say, but those two plugins should never be used together. They're the same thing, except that FO3 Wanderers Edition - Followers Enhanced (BrokenSteel).esp is for use with Broken Steel (hence the tag in parentheses), and the other is for use if you don't have Broken Steel.

Oh. Really? I thought it just was for the vanilla content. I'll try disabling it and tell you how it went. Thanks in advance!

 

 

 

EDIT: No change, unfortunately. Game still freezes within a minute.

 

EDIT: Additional note: Even if this problem was present before, it escalated after I picked up my first companion - and especially after I asked him to wait for me. I went into an abandoned house in Minefield, and that's where it went unplayable. I do not use any other mods that affects companions at all.

These are the ones I use. As you can see, they're tidy enough, sorted as specified in the FWE description, and I can't really see what would conflict here. Especially not as it started after I got Dogmeat and asked him to stay put.

(Oh, update, I seem to otherwise have fixed the game.. simply by disabling Ironsights, playing for five minutes, and re-enabling them, without me really understanding why. I will still make that patch though.)

That, of course, is because you simply don't have the aforementioned FOIP patch for FWE + Ironsights.

 

Download it here: FOIP. Once you've done that you can (and should) create a merged patch.

I just had a looksie, there's no Ironsight/FWE compability patch on the FOIP page. I did get one directly from the Ironsights optionals, though, but it didn't do the trick. Also using a merged patch, but I'm getting the same error as usual. The game just freezes up. The computer seems surprisingly responsive, though - as soon as I press CTRL-ALT-DEL, the menu that allows me to access the task manager pops up. (Fingers crossed for this being a known issue which is easily solved).

 

EDIT: Completely removing the Ironsights (and restoring the original models), the bridge patch and remaking the merged patch now makes the game crash nearly as soon as it has been loaded. Starting to wonder if I can rule out incompability between FWE and Ironsights as being the major issue here.

Ugh. My bad. I had that weaponmodkits mod in mind when I typed that.

 

Hmm you are launching the game through FOSE, yes?
