How to be more immersed in Skyrim

I got on to play some Skyrim today just like I would normally. But for some reason.....I am not immersed in it at all, and I dont seem to have as much interest in it as I normally would. IDK, maybe its just a small faze. Anyway, could anyone help?

*BTW the reason might be this. I have recently been going on a MASSIVE mod hunt for Skyrim, trying to find out how to install mods etc. Maybe I have kept my mind away from it for too long*

Sometimes I find listening to fantasy-esque music or watching movies/shows of the fantasy/medieval genres helps me get into the "mood" such as it were (Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit is my go-to for this, though I imagine something like Game of Thrones would work just as well). It may also be a matter of having the right character to really get your immersion on. At least those are the things that work for me.

I can see your point of view here. I also have such periods. Sometimes I can't play at all and sometimes I can't stop. Sometimes I just mod. For me it goes in waves. I usually watch mod videos and listen to the Skyrim soundtrack to get pumped :)

The best way to get immersed in skyrim is are enb's that make the game look amazing (and nights well, actually dark) and mods that add in better flora. To make the game look a-lot better and feel better.

For me it is usualy a new race someone creates and I get some ideas what it could do in Skyrim. Then if there is some big quest mod which would support that race playthrough, I would try to connect that to some vanilla quests, then I decide which guild would be perfect for that character - most of the times only 1 of them, if any, or will pick up some custom made guild. Then I decide where he would like to live in some custom player house. And usually when I finish all I decided to do, I just leave the character there and I will leave Skyrim to some other game.
