Desian
I just shot a Cage that had a Novice Lock on it with a bow and arrow and it unlocked and swung open. I googled this phenomenon and found nothing on the subject, crazy that I hadn't read about this being possible. Going to Load up again and see if it was a glitch or wtf.. CONFIRMED - It was definitely locked and it definitely unlocked upon being shot with an arrow. Whodathunkit. Up until now it has only worked with the metal gate door's Novice lock. It isn't working on any other locks Novice or otherwise. I'm trying to find another Metal gate type door ( like a prison/cage door) to try this out on. Anyone else? (btw, "phenomena" is plural for "phenomenon", OP ;) ) HAHA, I sometimes type a little too fast for my own good and the correcter on this crazy thing put it was the plural, thank you for the catch.I was pretty amazed myself and have yet to be able to test it on more than the precise lock that I did it on. What would be the chances I would accidentally shoot the ONE lock that can do it though? Will have to try different types like chests and different difficulties. Insta unlock Master chests with a bow anyone? :D
Rennn
Wow...Games are getting so buggy they're going to be like real life soon. You can already kill people with deer antlers, lol. You'll try to load up a save and realize your whole PC literally died from the last battle.

Every other lock I try it on the arrow just sticks to it and makes a thud while the gate I shot made a "spark" and a noise. Maybe I can find confirmation from Beth somewhere. Staind716
First I ever heard of this one. Of course, I never tried shooting an arrow at a lock. Gonna have to give this one a shot.
arcana75
How about swinging an axe or hammer at a door? Could be a feature. I remember Fallout 3 and NV people modded in lock-bash. Beth could have run with this, based on damage?
Brandy1123
I remember a Mod for Oblivion that gave locks a life or HP value. If you exceeded this with a physical damage type, the lock opened. MAybe it was put into the game and no one caught on. Time to go lock testing.
bpestilence
Good find if it works on more than just that one lock! Don't be suprised if you discovered something new. It was not that long ago that it was discovered that you could mine ore by "attacking" an ore vein with a pickaxe....
